The only downfall of this was we were told to meet at the travel companies office in downtown Budapest. Then we had to walk at least 20 minutes through the city, crossing major roadways. We would've rather just met at the boat. PLUS, there were lots of women in high heels, YIKES, a loooong walk they hadn't planned for.
It was my first time cruise and I was immerssed with the music and the dance. It will be better if we able to book the 7pm Cruise. Sadly it was full booked.
I was really disappointed by this evening which is a shame because all of the reviews were really good. I don’t enjoy massive boat trips so wasn’t aware that what seemed like at least a few hundred people would be onboard. You meet at the Danube and then are briskly walked to the boat ( this was a complete shambles, no on the tour group had a clue where they were going or what the location of the boat was) would have been much easier to just meet at the boat. The cruise itself was fun for the first hour but after it felt really dragged out and there was just way too many people but that’s because I prefer much smaller experiences with less people.
It was good, I booked the cruise without the restaurant and when I got there I was offered a free white wine, and they gave me a menu with cheap prices. I wanted to book the restaurant cruise but it coasts a lot more and you can find the same food on the cruise without the restaurant.
one of the best river cruise ever. Everything was amazing: the boat, the service, the staff, the music. Really nice option, so, if you do not buy the buffet option, one can always buy food on boar that is delicious and very cheap. Also drinks are super cheap. It was my second time here, and always good.
Booked the cruise to see the nightime sights of Budapest with my son (age 19), mother and son city break. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The live musicians were pleasant and a nice touch, but did play the same tunes. We didn't have food included but did purchase some nachos. These were a box version with only salsa, so not totally nachos as we thought. What we were really disappointed with, there was no commentary, or information as to the beautifully, lit buildings and bridges we were passing. We were hoping for some guide or even written information about these. To get nice photos or views of the sights you had to go outside on deck to see as the lighting on board was not dimmed and I could only see my own reflection, but i do understand that people cant eat in the dark. Overall, we did enjoy this river cruise but I'm not sure if I would recommend it.
Reallyyy good value for money and was so easy to book and find on this website. The boat was really posh and had so many levels to it. It was raining hard on the night we went in Budapest but we still wanted to go and sit on the outside. We then discovered that there’s is an undercover hut outside but for better pictures you can go to the back or front where there isn’t a cover but is still seats on the deck. We then discover the very top of the boat which wasn’t covered but you could get lovely photos on. Whilst sitting outside we were pleasantly surprised that there was an audio aswell to tell you about the monuments we were going last (which you can’t hear inside). When we’d finished taking pics we then went inside to listen to the band and have a drink which was really reasonably priced. I have a cocktail for like £3.40. It was a 2 hours well spent.
The walk from the meeting point was around 10 minutes, we walked on the riverbank, which was beautiful in the evening. During the dinner we tried all the hungarian specialities like gulas, it was really fine, and I can recommend to join this cruise. At the end the staff was really helpfull when we wasked them to order a cab.
The offer with the drinks at the entrance is very value for money (there is an extra free drink included) . If you want an extra drink , the prices on board are great. The lights inside the boat were too strong though, and the duration of the cruise was too long (maybe half an hour shorter would be good). Overall it was a great experience and very value for money.
The boat trip was nice because you could see the impressive buildings on the shore so beautifully illuminated. The welcome drink was a touch of nothing, but the drink prices were okay on board. The music group played appealingly and spontaneously implemented our son's wish. We would go again.
The boat is amazing, a old preserved one. But you can choose your place to sit, and the explanation was missing, and also the music if you are outside (if you didn't pay dinner).
We booked this cruise for our first night in Budapest and was not disappointed! It is the perfect way to see all of beautiful buildings/bridges. We selected the cocktail option and we’re very satisfied as they were delicious (strong too so a little tipsy by the end of the night!) There was some entertainment too which involved some traditional dancing, this was lovely to watch. Would definitely recommend this cruise, all the staff were also very helpful and friendly!
