Highly recommend this boat trip! We had a great time learning about the history of Lisbon, while you sit back relax and enjoy a few drinks. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable, answering questions you may have.

The trip was beautiful. We were running late bc the Uber driver dropped us off on the wrong side of the marina and the construction forced us to walk all the way around and Alex was so kind and gracious about it. It was wonderful to see Lisbon from the water. Drinking vinho verde while watching the sunset on the water... Well, well worth it. 5 stars!

We had booked this activity for our last evening in Lisbon. A great way to end our stay! We really enjoyed the walk, two hours is ideal. A small drink and a blanket to enhance our evening. The guides were very friendly. We were treated to a beautiful sunset (March 4th!), it was magnificent. Our only regret remains that the ride is not offered in French. We recommend it, especially to couples.

Very nice crew, free drink ok, seats and view were also ok. The music style was ok, but way too loud on deck! The ship is a bit old, but well maintained. You should think about warm clothing at this time of year. It is very windy and cold on the ship! Unfortunately, the captain turned away shortly before sunset and went back. But we were back on time.

Very pleasant, a good time spent for a very pleasant price, a small drink offered, wine, beer, Gin and tonic, ... However, the meeting place is very poorly indicated, the nearest tram station would seem to me a minimum (Cais Rocha), with tram 15E from Commercio square or Figueras.

A lovely relaxed and comfortable cruise along the Tagus as the sun set with views of the Elizabeth Bridge and Christ the Redeemer statue. The crew were friendly and helpful and they served some welcome white port from the bar.

Despite the bad weather, the welcome was warm, the staff very friendly. A good atmosphere, the city tour is great to see. The walk offers us a panoramic view of all the important monuments of the city, as a bonus the sunset adds charm to the excursion. A drink is offered as a welcome, the barmaid was adorable. Unfortunately we had rain, but a fallback solution was offered to us, we took the walk inside the boat, which took nothing away from the beauty. Plaids are available in case of cold.

Everything was wonderful! A beautiful trip to take along the Tagus River. Riding a sailboat adds a special charm to the city and is a lot of fun! I went with my father, who is 70 years old, and he loved it, he went around the sailboat and had a lot of fun. An unmissable tour!

We took the trip on the 12th of January 2024 (13.00) and it was amazing! Both tour guides were extremely friendly, told us a lot about famous places, very professional sailors! We would definitely advice to take this trip! The boat is very beautiful and new! We really had a great time! Thank You very much!

We did the sunset cruise. Super relaxing and our guides were very knowledgeable, both sharing information and answering questions. Enjoying a bottle of wine while seeing Lisbon and the sunset made for a perfect evening. The boat was clean and the guides were on top of service.

Everything was as described and it was nice to enjoy Lisbon from the water. In my opinion, the duration of the cruise was perfect! Not too long and not too short. It was really possible to enjoy the views and not get bored. The only remark, the coffee on board was very bad, I did not taste anything else.

This was a quiet tour. You shouldn't expect much. There is no guide who tells you about what you see and where you pass. This was a relaxed tour, nice to experience it once.

Very pleasant walk on the Taje. This allows you to discover Lisbon from another angle and take very beautiful photos! From the Commerce Square, to the Belem Tower, with Christo del Rei on the way back, we didn't see the time passing. Perfect activity to do as a family. We were unlucky with the weather, gray, mist and rain, but since the boat could be completely covered, it was ideal for enjoying the ride while staying dry!

We were thrilled to unfurl sails and not just be under power for our excursion. The boat was beautiful and the staff was charming. We highly recommend this activity!

A very good activity. Being in the Belém neighborhood when we decided to take a cruise, we booked with a departure point close to where we were. We opted for the 2:00 version. Having made the reservation in a hurry, we thought it would be a cruise on a big boat with other visitors (in fact, we thought the price was perhaps a little expensive). But it was a great surprise when we arrived and found that this trip was done on board a sailboat, only for the two of us (and therefore, the price was completely justified and affordable compared to other capitals). We were welcomed by Alex and Carlotta and they looked after us very well. Very good view of Lisbon and very beautiful photos. We highly recommend this cruise.

Very pleasant to cross the Tagus by sailboat. The crew is very nice, especially the gentleman from Panama. However, there was a lack of historical or cultural information to enhance the visit. The meeting point is very well indicated, no waiting. I recommend this outing.

We had a great time. Beautiful sailboat, clean and comfortable, beautiful view of the city and the main buildings However, no comments were made during the activity, the skipper was more interested in his phone than in the customers. The second person, spoke French very well, but did not find it useful to practice with the French-speaking customers on board. Too bad, otherwise the output would have been perfect.

This is the second time I've called on this team because the first time with them was absolutely fantastic, and this time I wanted to bring this moment to life for my 8-year-old daughter. I feared being disappointed compared to the previous time, and it was quite the opposite. It was magical. A magnificent crew, relational, funny, attentive, considerate. We just loved it and it will always be a "must do" for me when I come back to Lisbon. Thank you to all this wonderful team, everyone is happy to do what they do and it shows! We had such a great time sailing the Tagus river (with wine!). Communication with the hosts was easy, our crew did the best to make the cruise an enjoyable experience, even though we had bad weather with rain and wind. Because of that, we didn‘t see the sunset, but instead had a perfect rainbow over the Ponte-bridge, which made it an even more unique experience. Apart from that you will have great views of the Belem-tower and the Jesus-statue. The crew supplied us with blankets and the wine glass was never empty. All in all I can totally recommend this activity to anyone wo wants to see Lisbon from a different perspective.

We did this activity on the first night of our stay in Lisbon. The meeting point was easy to find. We were on the sailing boat with 5 other people plus two guides. Right at the beginning, the wine was served by the very nice guides. Throughout the tour, one of the guides told us interesting things about the different buildings and districts of the city that we passed. The guides also gave us lots of tips for our further stay. The pouring of wine continued throughout the tour. There were also chips towards the end. All in all a very nice tour and super designed by the guides. The only negative aspect that comes to mind was that unfortunately it was very cloudy and we couldn't see the sunset. Of course, the guides couldn't do anything about it.

This was one of the highlights from our week in Lisbon! The captain and crew were amazing, it was a great laid back experience with unlimited green wine and some of the best views and photos from our trip.

The guide João was so helpful, friendly and patient. He explained all the sights to us and even gave us snacks and a blanket for the ride (it was super windy). The boat itself was cozy and there were a total of 5 people on the boat. Fair warning: not all boats may have restrooms (but they were very clear about that)

Unfortunately there was no explanation of what we saw. There was no music or anything like that either. In addition, the explanation is misleading. The description of non-alcoholic drinks included only fits in the sense that there was a welcome drink. But only one drink. Everything else had to be paid for.

To do without hesitation, a superb moment on this sailboat and another way to appreciate Lisbon.

Nice trip, with beautiful views of Lisbon. The chance of spotting dolphins seems very small to me on this trip. You sail through the river and at the transition to the ocean you almost immediately turn around, so we did not see any dolphins. Do you want to see dolphins? Book a speedboat tour. Do you want to see Lisbon and the surrounding area from the water? Book this tour! Definitely recommended.

We were picked up on time, but had to walk about 7-8 minutes to the boat, which might be a bit strenuous for people who can't walk very well. The trip was super relaxed, you really see a lot of Lisbon, especially the difference between "old" and "new". If you don't want to go to the south of Lisbon, you can also see the Cristo Rei (Jesus statue) very well from the boat and you can drive under the bridge. What I found a bit unfortunate was that we only stopped the boat for about 10 minutes to look for the dolphins, as the journey to the beginning of the sea was quite long. But as I said, you can see a lot of Lisbon.

Do not do in winter as there is little chance of seeing dolphins at this time. According to the guide they can be seen from April during the breeding period because they come closer.

This trip was fantastic and was the highlight of our time in Lisbon. The staff were great and the drinks were very affordable. The music was great too. The trip was a lot of fun and is definitely worth doing whilst in Lisbon. Such great value for money.

We were told to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time. No one was there to greet us until 5 minutes after the scheduled departure time. We were worried that we were scammed or they weren’t going to show. They ended up combining different tours of different values. Overall, it was ok but we didn’t sign up for the music/ dancing cruise and the music was too loud .

We enjoyed the sailing trip. It was a nice way to spend couple of hours in Lisbon, while hearing about life there and Portugal in general from a wonderful captain. This is a great activity for a family with younger kids who will need a little break from walking and enjoy seeing the town from the river. We would do this again.

A very good time on the sailboat at sunset, the view of the city and the monuments from Belém to Lisbon are superb! The crew on the boat is particularly welcoming, and offers a drink to enjoy the experience even more! We did this as a family of 5 with 3 kids ages 8, 10, 13. Process was very organized! Boat was excellent - clean, lots of room, a bathroom, blankets, and a fun hammock net over the water that the kids loved. Crew was nice and friendly! One drink was included which was enjoyable, plus you could buy additional. Slight downside was that this was “sightseeing” only - no verbal explanations of what we were looking at unless you asked crew specifically, but I think this was mentioned in description.

One of the best things I did while in Lisbon. Such a great way to see the sights along the river from a different perspective. Crew were very friendly and helpful. The catamaran was spacious and clean. While technically there was no guide, the crew were happy to answer any questions, so we could just relax and enjoy the views and the sailing.

This was a very enjoyable sailing tour on a catamaran. The crew was nice and friendly and we had excellent views of the Belem Tower, Monument of the Discoveries and Lisbon. As this was the short (1 hour) tour, we sailed past the bridge toward Lisbon and then quickly turned back, but it was an hour very well spent and very enjoyable. We were with kids (aged 8 & 10) and had no issues. Perhaps it was better that we took the short tour considering that the kids had no time to get bored! We were lucky with the weather too, which helped make this an excellent experience. I would highly recommend.

I would recommend this tour. The crew, Jao and Bruno were exceptional. They were very hospitable and knowledgeable- just as we had come to expect of the wonderful people of Portugal. The sail boat was comfortable and Jao was very accommodating for picture taking. I can’t say enough good about them. I booked this tour because of the reviews so you won’t be disappointed if you choose this one.

Easy to find the pier. Easy check in and wait. Boat on time. Plenty of seats. Good crowd. Nice cruise down river under Golden Gate and beyond then back. Great views. First drinks free and early, subsequent drinks paid. DJ just twiddled the nobs but good Brazilian playlist. Nice start to our short break in Lisbon. (City center walking tour next morning). The activity started late, and the boat is rather small, but it's a really nice cruise along the river. The music and the atmosphere is very fun, and the drinks are cheap.

Spontaneously, because the sun ☀️ still promised a lot, we booked the experience. We set off with a bit of a delay. DJ's music was very good - we liked it. Past the sights, where we stopped specifically to take photos. 2 bachelorette farewells created an exuberant atmosphere. We were able to take beautiful pictures and enjoyed our time on board.

Nigel & Rui are class acts and spoil you with an evening of champagne, snacks & beautiful views of sunset on the river. Highly recommend this activity if you travel to Lisbon. Eat dinner at one of the great restaurants at the marina before you sail too. This is a must-do for your visit.

The tour was amazing! Everything was perfectly planned from start to finish. The team, Nigel and Fernando, were approachable, well organized and took excellent care of us. There were detailed explanations of all kinds, we were allowed to move freely on the ship and were well entertained. Superb service. Small group experience. Fernando, our captain was laid back, informative and great company.. the snacks were served warm and delicious, bottomless bubbly and white wine were great compliment. An excellent way to just sit back and chill without a care in the world.

This is a lovely two hour cruise with champagne and snacks. Nigel the boat captain is a great guy, very accommodating, as was the other staff member on the boat. It was chilly by the time the sun was setting because our cruise was from 7 to 9 PM and they even had blankets on board. All around Great activity. This was exactly what I needed! A relaxing sail with delicious wine and snacks, a great company. It’s a great way to get a full view of the city from the river and view beautiful landmarks. The captain and crew were super gracious and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!

It was just beautiful and I would do something like this again. The cheese and ham snack along with the wine were great, there is enough space on the boat to relax and enjoy. The views of Lisbon are beautiful the staff is really nice and makes you feel comfortable. Recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon and wanting to spend 2 pleasant hours along the Tagus River.

correct boat service, on the other hand how sad the landscapes apart from 3 main monuments, otherwise disused buildings, oil plant flooding the landscape, surrounding noises (boats, rails, cars) not allowing you to let yourself go during this short cruise. Frankly the price does not need the candle as we say at home

Great cruise. Gabriel was fantastic told us lots of fun facts and history. We were also lucky the fog cleared and we were able to get a great view.

Great sail. It was actually very cold that night,, but that's out of control of anyone. Guides were fantastic, very knowledgeable, had a great time. The engine runs the entire time the sails are up, so you do hear that noise. You are sailing but was told the river current is so strong that they leave it going for safety.

A great activity to end the day. Thiago and Victor very attentive and with great cultural knowledge. A very entertaining ride. 100% recommendable!

Too bad to have had two guides who spoke English even if we were able to communicate in broken English for them as for us. Good to know any bottle opened will have to be paid in full regardless of the number of glasses consumed.

Lovely time on the river watching the sunset. I have done two sunset cruises in Lisbon, and this one was my favourite. What made this one special were the hosts. Rodrigo and Miguel were our hosts and made us feel very comfortable. They gave us blankets and were attentive to everyone on the boat to ensure everyone was having enjoyable journeys. Would definitely recommend the sunset cruise with this company.

We had the best evening! Miguel and Victor were super lovely and made our evening rewally enjoyable. They played a little Arctic Monkeys which made the evening they much better and they were overall just such great people to converse with. Would defo love to come back for another sunset boat trip!! Also we spoke about a festival that happens each year in Lisbon but cannot tenner the band - please remind us if you can!

We loved our day with Luis. We chose the mini-van experience and our guide, Luis drove and narrated on the way. He was engaging, very patient (herding cats with picky needs) and humorous. We stopped at two wineries with amazing views. Each winery had a nice introduction to explain their history and processes, then we got to share a tasting (and we purchased...). The wineries began and ended the days, in between we had lunch and went on a very enjoyable boat ride on the Douro river. I 100% recommend this tour. I'm a pretty serious traveler and found it to be relaxing, enjoyable and incredibly scenic. A high point!

I had heard that the Douro valley tour was must see while in Portugal. They were right! If you plan to attend the tour, you have to use this company and ask for Carla, she was very knowledgeable about the area, its history and people and so much fun. Did I mention she is an amazing driver?

We enjoyed the tour much. Our guide was kind, calm and friendly. The portwine tour and tasting at sandeman was nice, the boat trip too. Lunch was awesome, never had that much and that good food on an organized tour. the wine tasting was in a very nice location with an awesome view and a funny guide. we could sit there quite long to enjoy the wine and the scenery and chat with other guests of the tour. not like at other tours, where you only have some minutes before you have to leave. can highly recommend this tour.

This is a must do! The overall crew, guide, location choices and trip were all spectacular. My wife and I had a fantastic time.. we met some great people from around the world. The weather was uncharacteristically hot but our guide did everything possible to make our day trip comfortable and enjoyable! Highly recommend…obrigado.

Nicely curated tour. Very seamless from point of interest to point of interest. The tours of the vineyard were informative and had time to enjoy the wines with great views. Our tour guide, João, was friendly and knowledgeable. We also had a great, authentic meal at small restaurant in a small nearby village.

The entire day was wonderful! Joaon was the perfect guide for our day. He made sure that all of us were happy from the food, to the vineyards, to boat ride and to taking memorable photos. All of the guides at the vineyards were both knowledgeable and entertaining. The absolute perfect combination. We enjoyed the food and the river cruise. Would gladly do it again!

Loved our day in Douro valley! This was a fabulous tour and our guide, Joao, was fantastic. So thorough and patient with us. We saw two vineyards, tasted wine/port, enjoyed a river cruise, lunch and capped off with an olive oil tasting. Highly recommend !

Now, after the tour I know why it is a G tour: there is a guarantee that everything is just perfect balanced - the top wine cellars are selected, not rushing between the objectives, not a push to buy something, it will be your Wish! The meal was quality and enough with everything included (table wine also). The key element was Enough Time to see and enjoy all the spots and highlights of the UNESCO Douro Valley!!!

This was the highlight of our stay in Porto. Our guide/driver met us and we joined six others for the trip inland on the minibus stopping for coffee en route. We visited the Sandeman's winery and had a wonderful tour with a knowledgeable guide followed by a tasting. Then we drive on to a place for lunch where we could converse with our fellow travellers. Then we enjoyed an hour's boat trip on the Douro to enjoy the sights of this beautiful valley. After this, we visited another winery that was smaller and produced wine, olive oil (the best I have ever tasted), and honey. Then it was the drive home! Booked the tour day before online and booked vegetarian meal for lunch. Tour guide Brahim was very knowledgable and informative. always checking everyone was okay. Nice small number of 8 people. Both visits to Winery were good and lunch was exceptional they went out of there way to make sure I had enough vegetarian food. Overall a very good tour and guide made it even more enjoyable with his interaction with the group.

Our guide, Luis, was great! Was very knowledgeable and friendly. Tour included a perfect variety of activities. Thoroughly enjoyed the port & wine tasting and the selection of both a large and small winery. Although the small winery with delicious wine & olive oil tasting is more our speed, the large port winery was very interesting and gives you the option to taste additional ports by the glass. The lunch was plentiful and tasty. The boat cruise was scenic & relaxing. Gives you a different perspective of the vineyards and chaparral. Highly recommend this tour.

Our guide Luis was very charming. Thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Tour guides at the various places very knowledgable and entertaining. However don’t really feel that the cruise added any value to the tour. Even if there was a need to have a guide talking it would have been more enjoyable had we at least been offered a glass of wine

We had Violetta as our guide in a small group of 8 (4 of us and 4 others who were all very easy to get along with) and she was amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly and fun.. The stops were fantastic, the wine, port, views, and food all great and the tour was perfectly paced. The optional boat ride was also well worth the small amount of extra money. Highly recommended by us!

Our guide, Pedro (apologies for not knowing his name in Portuguese!) was knowledgeable, friendly, informative and good company. Even on a wet, grey day, the valley was beautiful and worth visiting. The tastings were high quality and generous, as was the typical Portuguese lunch. We would definitely recommend this tour.

The tour was a lot of fun. The only real issue we had was that it was very difficult to hear the driver as we sat in the back of the van and we had three large adults in the rear seats with little leg room. Lunch was a nice restaurant with good service but the food was mediocre . The wineries were very interesting and informative and the wine and cheese is served were delicious

If you dont do this for any other reason, you do this for the scenery. I have been to Italy numerous times, and this is more magnificent. We went with a group that were not wine aficionados, but were glad they went, as the area and the history was the main event. Our guide Lola, was stellar!

We had an amazing day, starting with our guide Rodrigo being right on time to pick us up. There was a total of 8 people on the tour - a full van, and so much better than a large tour bus. Rodrigo provided a lot of interesting commentary on the way out to the Douro Valley. The first stop of the morning was at a beautiful little vineyard where we had a "second breakfast" (as the tour operator will tell you, eat breakfast before getting picked up because it takes about 90 minutes to get out to the valley). The "second breakfast" included a tasting of some olive oil, red and white wine, and some olives, bread and sausages. We also got to visit the vineyard's operations and cellars, which were beautiful. The views were amazing! From there, we had a short drive to a village along the river where we embarked on a boat tour. Seeing the Douro from the water was majestic! The last stop was in another village in the hills where we had an amazing meal and tastings. Great value for the money!

This was an amazing tour with a wonderful guide. Our small group visited a small winery that also made olive oil where we found out about how to make olive oil and sampled their wines. A boat tour of the Duoro River was followed by a wonderful home-cooked meal at a family establishment. In the afternoon, we visited a family winery where we learned about the making of port and sampled many types of port wine. A totally satisfying day.

I did a similar tour about a month ago and I thought it was pretty good but this one raised the bar. The guide was just amazing and full of information. She also had a great sense of humor. The winery's chosen where great and so beautiful. The lunch provided was family style at this restaurant above a fire station. There was plenty of food and wine and it was well presented.

Great tour and great guide!! My husband and I had a great time. The wineries we visited were so nice and fun, the wines were so delicious, the lunch place was delicious and beautiful, and the views the guide took us to were amazing. The small group tour was the best. The guide's talk was so fun, and we learned Portugal history, culture and economy through his talk. We just had a wonderful time, thank you so much!! Also, before the tour, the company communicated with me quickly and responded to my questions, which was very helpful.

I really enjoyed the whole tour especially tasting various wines. Our guide Marco was very warm-hearted and friendly so the atmosphere of our group was awesome. Visiting douro valley was amazing and peaceful moment that I’d expected. I want to visit here again on September:) In my opinion, I’m strongly recommend this tour!

Wonderful day to spend on this tour - had a lot of fun drinking, eating, and learning so much about wine, olive oil, and port production. Best part is that all the wineries are family owned businesses. Oh yeah, there's also some ridiculously good-looking views of the the Douru valley too if you're into that ;) Thank you to our amazing guide Alex - he knows the Douro region (and the roads!) like the back of his hand.

I didn't really know what to expect from this tour, but it was so much better than I could have imagined! The tour was so amazing, our host, Violet, was so welcoming and warm and she made the tour a really great experience! She always made sure that we were all okay and accommodated all of us. Great day, even better wine and the knowledge given was well worth every penny! It's a must!

The tour was very well organized. We were picked up at the hotel perfectly on time. After a short stop for a coffee it went to the first wine estate, where we could taste 2 Rosé, white and red wines. Also the olive oil and 3 kinds of honey were delicious. As an added bonus, we were able to taste 2 port wines, which was actually not foreseen, but was still heartily offered. Along the way, the very friendly guide Felipe had shared interesting information about the Douro Valley. The welcome at the winemaker was professional, but above all cordial. Then we took a boat trip of about an hour on the Douro along the vineyards. Then it went to the 2nd wine estate where we were served white and red wine for lunch and after a short tour we could taste 5 port wines. The visitors always get the opportunity to buy, but without pressure. Overall a very nice and relaxing tour well worth the money.

A couple of weeks ago I experienced Portugal Excellence Tours’ full-day wine trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It was a small group tour, consisting of eight of us plus our guide, Marcio. Being in a smaller group helps it feel more personalized and enjoyable. The day began around 8:20 when Marcio picked me up at my Porto hotel in a nice, air-conditioned van. Marcio is very knowledgeable on the area, as well wines (except maybe US wines, but of course, we are in Europe) and the wine making process. He was an excellent host and guide. In all, we visited three wineries (two tastings and one for lunch), and we also had a chance to taste olive oil and honey - excellent! It was a very fun day! Just do it!

We loved our tour. Our guide Tiago was great! He explained us many facts and curiosities about the region. The visit to the first wine yard was beautiful! The views were just stunning and the Porto wine delicious. Gorgeous and interesting at the same time. Lunch was great too, with a wonderful view. We didn’t like the last vineyard as much and my opinion this should be changed. There were no views or opportunity to walk through the vineyards. It was not interesting as the other one and guide from there wasn’t very knowledgeable. But overall the tour was great. I would just change the last vineyard.

Amazing excursion. Very interactive and interesting. We’ve been introduced to wine and port wine making process and afterwards had opportunity to try local wines and products. Special thanks to our guide Guillermo who told us a lot of interesting facts about this region and the whole country itself. Also, we really enjoyed our small group as it gave us more personal touch with each group member. Lunch was very delicious and we’ve been breath-taken by the views during our river ride.

Great daytrip to enjoy the Douro scenery -- the tour on the port estate could've been a bit more informative but, our guide for the day was our walking encyclopedia so compensated a lot. The boat trip was nice and the lunch was great. The wines tasting also excellent. The trip in the van is a bit heavy on the stomach but thats the cost of exploration. Great value for money.

This was a nice day. I enjoy the small group experience. Our guide knew a lot about the area and was a pleasure to talk with. My only wish was that the boat ride had been a smaller boat with less people and it would have been nice not to have windows. The lunch was great and the tastings were so much fun.

The company contacted me the day before, picked me up from the hotel. Clear explanation of the day's program, and all happened as expected. Nice group of travellers (7). A good route and excellent speakers at each venue. The guide Guillermo was easy to follow, but knew when to stop talking, and he was interested in the passengers. I had a lovely day, as a solo traveller.

Ricardo was an excellent guide/driver. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our small group of 8. Lunch was in a very nice small vineyard and the boat trip at the end of the tour was just amazing .. so relaxing ! The Douro Valley private tour is highly recommended. A must see in Portugal.

This winery tour of the Douro Valley was MUCH better than expected. Our guide, Hugo, was very informative, caring, and navigated the tricky roads with ease. The whole experience was planned to provide education and enjoyment for all. We walked into a vineyard and learned about the grape vines and varieties, explored vintage grape stomping and processing rooms, and tasted amazing varieties. My partner and I we wanted to do something nice eith his parents in Porto. Today we did the tour with Tiago and had a wonderful experience. Tiago was so attentive, friendly and saw to all our needs. We loved the guided informative tours of both the vineyards and the boat trip was so relaxing and a feast for our eyes. We then went on to our lunch stop in Sabrosa which was out of this world the food was tasty and views were spectacular. We would definetely recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in a relaxing day out soaking up the best that the Duoro Valley has to offer, great views, great Porto, great wine and food. Felipe was outstanding guide for From Porto Douro River Tour 9 hours. Knowledge expert professionally relevant to being a guide, safe efficient driver, personable, sense of humour. 9 of us in group was perfect size. Best ports, wines, lunch, 1 hour cruise on Douro River, best and different tasting olive oil tasting and honeys. Had the best wine ever not available in Canada but can purchase on site. Amazing products and informative education. In addition Felipe arranged for me to attend 1 hour Fado show in Porto before leaving for my restaurant dinner reservation. Thank you Felipe. We were all so grateful you were our guide.

Thiago was a amazing tour guide. From start to finish the professionalism and execution of the whole day was flawless. His interaction with all guests no matter the language was great. Really bringing the whole experience together. Thank you and I’ll be come back for sure. One of the most beautiful places I’ve been in Portugal.

Jorge was great. I learned so much about the different types of wines and the Douro region. We spent just enough time at each location. Lunch was delicious. I would recommend this tour to those looking to spend the day in the Douro region. Tiago was our bus driver and he was also great maneuvering the many twists and turns!

What a lovely tour. The tour guide is Noanoa and he was excellent, I could be spelling his name wrong but he said Nono. Anyway, he was great and very informative. All the places we went was great. My favorite is the 2nd vineyard where we went through the fields and picked the grapes and was able to eat them as they are organic. The wine tasting was also good and very knowledgeable.

One of the best guided tours we have been on. The tour guide, Sophia, was very knowledgeable, considerate and entertaining. Sophia’s English was excellent and her anecdotes kept us all amused. The winery tours were very good and food and wine great. The river cruise was a nice way to relax after lunch. The coach driver, Daria, was polite and friendly. Highly recommend this tour.

Excellent organisation, group was not too big, 25, minibus, Silvinho was driving like Carlos Sainz senior, not only because he stopped at Repsol, and Thiago was making a good atmosphere between the group keeping us awake with his jokes, wuips and subquestions. We’ve tried some divine taste wines, lunch was very good, we could make a pictures of a wonderful Douro Valley native and landscapes. River cruise didn’t took us too much time… Thiago gave us advices for other things to do in Porto, tips and hints… We’ve learned a lot abot Portugal and this region of a country. That was absolutely value for money experience!

We had a great guide and bus driver. Both were very sweet and knowledgeable. The trip was exactly as we expected. The only downside was the lunch food which was mediocre. Otherwise, the views, the boat ride, and the wine tasting was fun! I would recommend this to other visitors.

A really great tour! Our guide Andre was amazing, he was so informative and nothing was too much for us- he really took care of everyone and had a great sense of humour. Our driver, Claudio, was also great and very friendly. We had 2 port wine stops throughout the day, which included tastings and information and seeing a port vineyard was lovely. The boat trip was also fantastic. We had a brilliant day. We were recommended this trip by a friend who had done it a few weeks before and were so glad we took the recommendation. A lovely day exploring the douro valley.

Guide Needs to be more interactive with the clients. Very little info and with the long bus ride he could have given lots of info on the area and Portugal. Never really ever knew what the next agenda was as he never gave a good overlay of what we were doing and time spent on each. Noticed a couple of the guides from other tours were very involved with their groups. Our guide acted like he didn't really wanted to be there.

Beautiful experience!! Joana and Tiago have been amazing! Joana was super excited and gave us all the information needed to appreciate the treasures of the lands we were discovering. First stop, Amarante, was too quick but enough to see its beautiful bridge and small square. The 2 cellars were very nice and interesting. In the first one they produce the muscat wine. The guide was very through ! I loved seeing here what they do and the lunch offered was good quality too! After that we headed to Pinhão where we did a 1h cruise on the river. It would have been perfect if the boat was open and they didn't close us between windows which blocked air that was essential as there were almost 40 °C! This was the only downside durin all trip. Too warm and the air conditioner wasn't even enough in the minivan. The second cellar was nice too, they produce port wine and the location was stunning. Less informative than the first one but we tasted amazing wines here as well! Overall amazing day!!

This trip was the best thing we did visiting Porto. We learned so much from our guide, Nuno, the history of wine making going back to Roman days up until current days. Our visit to 2 wineries included a guided tour of the winery, wine tasting, and a very nice meal at one of the wineries. If you do anything, do this tour.

Well organized trip , stop at a viewpoint , 1st winery was informative and had an amazing lunch there where you had wine tasting with your meal . Then off to the Douro River cruise , relaxing , smooth ride and amazing view .last winery was a higher end winery where we tried Port wine and had a worker take us around as well. We went on September 27, right during harvest , great timing. Definitely would recommend this over doing it solo. Mario and Jose were our guide and driver.

We had a lovely trip out to the Douro Valley! Everything was well organised and ran smoothly- even in the rain! The food was amazing- best food of our trip! The port tasting was great and the setting in the valley is beautiful! Recommend this day trip to anyone who enjoys food and wine tours!

The guide was really informative, kept everything to time. The extra bottles of water were really appreciated having experienced a blistering 42C in the Douro Valley. Lunch was really well cooked, really appreciated this being at a vineyard. I naively thought we could explore the valley by train from Porto. Managed to book this two days before and it was by far the best way to see the Douro Valley. The town of Amarante was beautiful and sold some delicious pastries other than custards tarts!
