We had a lovely evening on the Lovers Dinner Cruise in Amsterdam. The atmosphere on board was relaxed and intimate, with softly lit tables and large windows giving perfect views of the canals at night. The route itself is beautiful — gliding past the iconic canal houses, bridges, and historic landmarks really adds a special charm to the evening. The 4-course dinner was well-paced and nicely presented. While the food isn’t quite fine dining, it was tasty and satisfying — a good mix of Dutch and European-style dishes. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the cruise. If you're after in-depth commentary or a guided experience, this cruise keeps it light, focusing more on the dining and ambience rather than sightseeing information. Overall, it’s a relaxing way to enjoy Amsterdam’s canals by night, perfect for couples or small groups wanting a special evening. A solid option for a memorable dinner on the water.
I think this experience was really good value for money, the tour guide was really lovely and we learnt new things about Amsterdam! The tour itself was so lovely at night as all the bridges were lit up, considering we went during such a cold time and snow the boat was surprisingly warm and I sat without a jumper for a portion of the ride. The food was also nice, i wished we could have changed our meal type as I liked the sound of the vegetarian meal however the meal was still nice. I thought the dessert being tiramisu would look like tiramisu however it was more like a pudding/cream dessert. Other than this everything was 10/10, the music, the staff and the experience was great!
Very enjoyable meal on board the canal boat as we wound our way through the network of Amsterdam's waterways. The ladies serving the food were excellent (there were only three parties on board on a cold January evening) so service was attentive and the Captain was a hoot (yees, Ladies and Gentlement). My wife and adult son & his wife enjoyed it very much. Conveniently located to the Central Station and our hotel.
This is an excellent cruise, the food was great, very tasty, the staff were great with a special thanks to Valentina (I think that’s was her name) who made our 25th wedding anniversary all that more special. There was the occasional commentary from the captain, which was not really intrusive but nicely informative. All in all a good balance and a trip I would highly recommend.
The boat was very nicely made up for dinner and was not very crowded so we had a table to ourselves. The food was much better than I expected and we never ran out of wine! Captain Dave and crew were wonderful. The commentary was perfect - enough to get some nuggets of information but not so much that we couldn't have a dinner conversation with each other.
Everything about this experience was good from checking in to leaving the boat. We enjoyed the commentary and learned about the canals and some of the buildings alongside them. The food was excellent and beautifully cooked. We had expexcted to pay for wine separately, so to find it was included (and not limited) was a great surprise!
We had the best time! The captain and the team were amazing. We saw some beautiful sites and the food was great too. It was my partners birthday and the team encouraged everyone on the boat to sing to him, which he loved. Strongly recommend this cruise, it was worth every penny. Thank you so much.
We had the absolute best time on this cruise. The staff were awesome. The boat was really comfy. The cheese was delicious. The never ending glass of wine was brilliant. Music was old school classics. Loved it. Saw so many beautiful sights. Would 100% recommend this cruise.
A very nice experience! The crew was very fun and polite. From the music to all the cheeses and wines it was a perfect activity to do in the Amsterdam's canals. The Captain added fun facts about the city which made the trip interesting as well! I really recommend it.
This evening cruise was absolutely amazing, the staff are so funny and lovely and make the whole thing very relaxing. Also the staff were incredibly vigilant when it came to empty glasses! Wonderful activity and I would recommend to anyone going to Amsterdam.
We had the best three captains we could have wish for but I don't remember their names. We chose the meat menu and we enjoyed it. Sadly you are forced to share the table with another couple. I wanted to have dinner with my fiancée and her alone.
We had such a lovely night cruising the canals. Dinner and wine was fantastic and our guides gave just enough information to give us details about all the sights without being overly intrusive on our conversations. Great experience!
Tasty food, lovely helpful staff on board. Commentary was interesting and sometimes humourous too in the nicest way. Very nice cruise overall, a lovely way to see the city and enjoy good food at the same time.
We enjoyed the tour Guide was excellent and fun! Food was good. Unfortunately it rained so we didn't get as good of pictures but the guide let me take some through partially opened windows and that was great.
Very hard-working tour guide or captain. Spoke a few words from time to time (apart from the audio system), unfortunately difficult to understand without a microphone. But the audio system worked perfectly
The food was simply amazing. We had the fish menu and everything highly exceeded expectations. Would definitely recommend to anyone and may do again just for the meal!

The food was of good quality (which is a challenge on a boat) Service was excellent and the lights of Amsterdam from the river and canals were wonderful.

Please have adults only options. I do not mind paying more to ensure there are no screaming children on my ride. Tour guide did his best to speak over the screams.
