Navigli Canal Boat Cruise
Start your tour by boarding a new electric boat. As the boat sails along the canal, you’ll see the “della di Ringiera,” typical houses of Milan’s working-class neighborhoods. Cruise to the popular 13th-century church of San Cristoforo, listening to your guide’s informative commentary. See where the delicious Marscarpone cheese is said to have been invented as you sail along the Alley of Cheesemakers. Visit the historic headquarters of Canottieri Milano Olona, one of the oldest rowing clubs in Milan with over 100 years of history.
Pass the famous Vicolo dei Lavandai, an architectural marvel that was responsible for washing the laundry of wealthy families in the 18th century. Cross the Scodellino Bridge and arrive at the modern Darsena, a water-based entertainment district full of lively bars, restaurants, and clubs. It is still one of the main hubs of Milan’s nightlife today. Sail to the Trophy Bridge and finally arrive at the Concetta, designed by Leonardo da Vinci. Experience the 14 navigation basins of the Concetta, which connect Milan and Pavia. It is still in operation five centuries after its construction.
