Your full-day tour will begin in the heart of Porto, where your guide will tell you about the city's fascinating past and share some fascinating anecdotes. Take a comfortable ride in style to Peso da Régua, in the northern part of Portugal, for a brief coffee break.

Follow the itinerary to the first winery stop. While taking in the expansive views of the vineyards that crisscross the landscape, you can also sample the renowned wines of the area.

You'll head to a restaurant for a mouthwatering lunch of local Portuguese fare around noon. Vegetarian, fish, and meat alternatives are available.

Continue your journey to the second vineyard, where a vineyard expert will teach you about the various stages of winemaking and you can sample some of the best Porto from the Douro region.

As an exceptional treat, stop at the Pinhão Railway Station, whose walls are delightfully finished with blue coated mosaic tiles portraying landscapes of the Douro Valley and its set of experiences of port wine creation.

Take a scenic one-hour river cruise along the Douro River before returning to Porto. During this time, you can mingle with the other guests you met on the tour.

Your vehicle will stop at an amazing viewpoint on the way back to Porto, where you can take stunning pictures of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

This was a great tour. I highly highly recommend it if you have a free day while in Porto. They pick you up on time in a nice AC Wifi van. The tour guide wade funny and accommodating for those with mobility issues. They give two two very different wineries to see which is good. The lunch is not an ordinary lunch. It’s a three course meal with unlimited wine. It was amazing! Only caution it is very hot. The tour makes it as cool as possible but just to be aware when traveling. We would do it again!

This tour is a must if you have few days to spend in Porto. Pedro is an excellent guide, that will help you discover the Douro Valley in the most beautiful way- the visit at the Pacheca, the lunch, the boat ride with Paulo and the visit at Croft winery are all of them mixed with joy and overwhelming beauty. It all ends nicely with a stop to a point from above, from where you can get amazing pictures to remember you of the day.

My fiancé and I had a fantastic time on this wine tour. Our guide, Delfina, was hilarious, knowledgeable about the Douro valley, and an incredible person to have lead our journey. Our driver was also great. He was timely and very professional. We thoroughly enjoyed the boat cruise but I would say that a large portion of it was directly in the sun, so it would be advisable to tell customers to bring sunscreen or a hat in the future so everyone is aware. The port tasting portion of the trip was also enjoyable and we learned a lot from the vineyard guides. Also, definitely want to note that the food at The River delicious and the meal portions were decent. We all enjoyed a three course meal along with unlimited red or white wine. The entire journey was around 10 hours but definitely worth checking out!

Our guide, Iasmin, was very attentive, kind and sweet, and took care of the group at all times. Even though our bus had to be changed on our way to the vineyards, the process took around 5 minutes and it didn't delay us on our journey. The vineyards were both beautiful and the tour there was very informative. The tasting of the Porto wines was also very good. The boat part, however, was mediocre, more like a floating peak hour urban bus that went 3 km upstream and then returned. It was so packed we couldn't even move from the seats to take a picture. That part should be changed. Our group was over 30 people, too, but once we got to the boat it was like 5 groups joining the boat.

This was one of the best tours I have done. Our guide Delfina was amazing and her knowledge and information she shared was invaluable. I would highly recommend this to anyone that would like to explore the Duoro river valley.. It is great value for money and gives you a great oversight of what this region has to offer.

Incredible tour. Milena was an amazing, funny, knowledgeable guide and Pedro was a great driver! Felt very safe on very windy mountain roads. The Douro valley is absolutely beautiful. I loved that we sampled wines from a smaller company that I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to try otherwise. Lunch was also delicious and at a very nice restaurant. The river cruise was the perfect way to end the day. Absolutely beautiful. Be prepared for the weather though! It was HOT during our tour and while the van was air conditioned, it was not really strong enough to alleviate most of the heat. Still 100% worth it though even if it’s hot.

The tour guide and driver were both very good, and the guide Ivor was very knowledgeable and made sure we got the best experience. The tasting at the vineyards was very informative and we purchased a few bottles. We had our grandchildren with us and they loved the river cruise. It was a most enjoyable day.

We got picked up at around 8:30AM and headed straight for the Douro Valley. Along the way, Milena told us about some history and the difference between a port wine and a table wine. We then had our first winery tour and tasting. We then had a short coffee break before the boat cruise which had amazing views. Lunch was served at a second winery. Food was amazing! Options for everyone was available. More tastings were had after lunch along with a lesson on how to tell the difference between 10, 20, and 30 year old ports. The drive back to Porto was relaxing - I’ll admit I had a small snooze. Overall, this was an amazing experience. The views are immaculate! 1 very important tip is to remember that the Douro Valley has a microclimate - this means it is roughly 10 degrees hotter than it is in Porto! Wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a sun hat to stay cool. Comfortable shoes are also important, however there isn’t a crazy amount of walking.

The tour was wonderful and well worth the money. It was a great experience when in Porto and the tour guide was fantastic - she was very informative and gave us loads of info. The port was delicious, as was the lunch! We only wish we had known it would be about 12 degrees hotter there due to the micro climate as we would have dressed more appropriately!
