Discover more about the landscapes and history of the Douro Valley. Take a tour with a local guide of Amarante, also known as the city of art, sweets, and love. From the viewpoint of São Leonardo da Galafura, one of the most stunning viewpoints in the entire Douro region, take in the jaw-dropping panorama.

The oldest wine region in the world is the Douro Valley. Additionally, it is recognized as a World Heritage Site. The valley has a lot more to offer, including its diverse cuisine, traditions, culture, and rich history.

This area is famous for its one-of-a-kind landscape, which features a river surrounded by lush mountains on both sides in an intriguing V shape.

Not only do these mountains surround the river, but they also serve a very important function: This view is enhanced by the fact that they are the soil on which terraced vineyards are grown.

Experience a traditional three-course meal with local Douro wines for lunch, including an appetizer, main course, and dessert.

Enjoy a one-hour panoramic river cruise from Pinhão after lunch to take in the surrounding landscape and vineyards.

After that, it's time to go to a famous winery with a local guide (Quinta da Roêda, Taylor’s/Croft brands or Quinta São Luiz, Kopke or Calém brands). There, you'll learn about how the famous Port wine is made and taste three different wines that are made at the winery.
