Douro Valley Wineries w/ Tasting + 1-Hour River Cruise w/ Lunch
UNESCO has designated the unrivaled Douro Valley as a world heritage site and the first wine region in the world.
Take a scenic drive around the valley from the meeting point in Porto. Visit the first winery of the day after a brief stop at a viewpoint. Olive oil, a variety of wines, and other items are all worth trying. Local bread, jelly, cheeses, and hams go well with everything.
Take a brief stroll through the vineyard to learn about the seasonal tasks like pruning, grafting, and harvesting.
Then, make a petite stop in Pinhão for a typical Portuguese lunch at a local tavern that serves fish and meat as well as vegan and vegetarian options.
Take a mini-cruise in a traditional boat along the stunning Douro Valley after lunch, admiring the backdrop of the Porto Wine vineyards, terraces, and wineries.
National 222, a road with even more breathtaking views, will be the next section of the route. Visit the second winery for tastings and information about the region's well-known Port wine. Finally, in the late afternoon, return to Porto.
