Explore Naples, a city full of history and architecture, and Pompeii, buried under ash from the Vesuvius eruption. On this full-day tour, see some of each city's most important areas and explore both.

An official guide will take you through the highlights of Pompeii, an intact ancient Roman city, during the tour's first stop at the archaeological site.

Discover how the city was buried following the Vesuvius eruption and what archaeologists discovered when they excavated it.

After exploring Pompeii, continue on to Naples, where you can have lunch at a typical Neapolitan restaurant by the sea and try the famous Naples pizza.

For an inviting Neapolitan coffee and sfogliatella pastry, go to the famous Gambrinus bar in Piazza del Plebiscito.

Before heading back to Rome, take in the artistic San Carlo Gallery, the shops of Via Toledo, and the outside of the Maschio Angioino Castle.

Our tour guide Giuliano and driver Gianluca were superb. They were very attentive and professional. They made the day long excursion a fun and informative one. We had a tour of Pompeii with 6 people with Sasa (sp?) who’s knowledge was second to none. He made sure to keep us in the shade while talking. Naples was great. We had lunch at Antonio & Antonio with a beautiful view of the Gulf of Naples. We did a beautiful walk of Naples and got a good feel for the city and it’s history.

There are not enough words to describe the amazing day I had on this full day, jam packed tour. My tour guide Claudio was excellent and made the day enjoyable with his love and knowledge of all things Italy. This tour exceeded my recommendations and was exactly as described. It was a long day with an approx. 2-hour drive from Rome to Pompeii but so worth it. Claudio used the driving time to educate me on Italy. The Neapolitan pizza was great and came with plenty of food. Shout out to our skillful and great driver, Gianluca. Can't wait to go back to Italy and book another tour.
