Great experience! Radu was a great guide and very knowledgeable! Only sad part was we paid to tour the bottom part of the Colloseum and it was canceled w/o explanation. There were other groups down below, our family was bummed that we couldn't see that part but others were down there.

Arena, Forum and Palatine Hill Guided Tour: We were lucky enough to have a small tour group of 8 people which made the experience more intimate and enjoyable. We were led by the wonderful Roberto who was amazing! He was very knowledgable, funny, interactive and passionate about his work. Roberto painted a picture of Ancient Rome and doing the tour gave us a much better understanding of the history of Rome and what we were looking at. The tour was around 3 hours long so definitely bring water and comfy shoes as there is lots of walking. Only slightly confusing part was at the very start while waiting at the meeting point as there was different tour groups all with the same coloured stickers so it wasn’t always clear which group we were meant to join.

Our tour guide, Jessica from Crown Tours, was awesome and such a great tour guide. We got a good amount of history without being too much and she showed us a lot of great before and afters of the colosseum. She told us lots of fun facts about the colosseum and was very nice and funny.

Highly educational, very thorough accounting of history. We realize that when traveling to other countries it can be difficult if not impossible to find native English speakers, but the accent of this particular guide was so strong it was very difficult to understand her English. She was otherwise brilliant and clearly lives for this history and archaeology, but it was hard to follow her.

There are so many options for tours it can be overwhelming, however I already had the app downloaded from a previous tour, I booked this tour at 10:30am on the same day as we found ourself at a loose end. My mum and I did the 11:30am - 2:30pm tour on Sunday. Our guide Diana, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. For something that can be so incomprehensible (to me!) Diana was excellent at explaining the incomprehensible with additional books and images! Diana did not rush and we went at our groups’ pace which I thought was nice. Would definitely recommend a bottle of water. I would use this company to book again!

This tour was great overall. We loved the underground experience. Maya was a knowledgeable guide and was very responsive to our group’s questions. Our only downside was not having enough time to listen, learn AND take pictures. Apparently, 3 hours is not enough to deal with 2,000 years of history.

I had an absolutely amazing tour and I would recommend anyone who is visiting Rome for the first time to book guided tours for each attraction! Crown Tours is very well organized and the staff is nice, patient and always there to help. I had a true history lesson within those 3 hours and everything made more sense due to the clear explanations. I would love to do it again one day :). P.s: would have loved a walk through the Roman Forum as we only looked at it from above.

We chose a tour that included the underground area of the Colosseum. Also chose the tour that meant very little queuing and was advertised as a small group. We ended up being a tour of 4 people plus our guide Maya. It was an excellent tour made more interesting by our well informed local guide Maya.
