Hidden Venice: Private 30-Minute Gondola Ride

Uncover the city’s timeless charm on a private gondola ride through quiet canals known only to locals.

Details

Begin your journey along canals that have shaped Venice’s story for centuries—aboard a traditional private gondola. As your gondolier navigates the waterways, you'll pass elegant palaces, centuries-old bridges, and quiet corners of the city that reveal its unique charm.

Gondolas have been part of daily life in Venice for over a thousand years. This ride lets you connect with that history while enjoying the city’s iconic views from a unique perspective.

You’ll travel along smaller canals as well as stretches of the Grand Canal, passing places that many visitors never see. It’s a chance to slow down and discover a quieter, more intimate side of the city—only visible from the water.

It was enjoyable, though quite short for the price. Still, a classic Venice experience.

We had a 30 minutes tour in gondola but the experience was not what we expected, totally disappointing! We spent 10 minutes in the Canal Grande and then went through a little canal, and the tour was completed!! The gondoliere wasn't nice, he didn't say a word and had his earpods on the whole time, constantly looking at his smartphone. Frankly, the experience was really too expensive for what it revealed to be.

We loved watching the gondoliers interact — it added a real local flavor to the trip.

The view is incredible. Th gondola itself was nice. The gentleman maneuvering the gondola was nice but did not speak much besides telling us his name. Next time I would opt for a gondola ride that specifically states conversation or music or at least pointing things out is included.
