The Bend of the Danube experience
Danube Bend — an excursion into Hungary's history. This is an unforgettable tour along the "Blue Danube" with stops in Visegrád and Szentendre.
Visegrád: After the Mongol invasion a new fortification was constructed here in the mid-13th century. We will meet with the order of Saint Goerge, the kings order since 1323, one of the oldest order in Europe. We will meet the knights, see the way they use the weapons and expirience the use of it. After that, we will have some fun at the Bob slides on the top of the hill of Visegrd and afterworth from the top of the hill offers a fascinating panorama on the Danube valley and from the Famous "cloude Catle" After exploring the castle and enjoying the view we will head for lunch at famous Renaissance restaurant (not included in the price).
Szentendre: It is a small baroque city built on medieval ruins, located at the gate of the Danube Bend. The town is considered to be the Artists' Village or the Painters' Town. We walk around the historical centre and enjoy the cobblestoned narrow streets as well as the baroque houses. We will meet a potery Master at her workshop and talk on a cup of tea and afterworth, we will visit the Marcipan Museum.
