Auschwitz-Birkenau was founded in 1940 by Nazi Germany and was the largest concentration camp operated by the Nazis. It became the final resting place for millions of people, mostly Jews and Poles, who were murdered in gas chambers.

Pass through the gate with the inscription "Arbeit macht frei" to enter Auschwitz I, where your guide will show you around the preserved area and explain the history of the site. Then, visit the second camp at Birkenau, where mass killings took place as part of the Nazi "Final Solution to the Jewish Question."

What to bring:

• Passport or ID card
• Comfortable shoes

Not allowed:

• Luggage or large bags
• Smoking
• Pets
• Short skirts
• Oversize luggage
• Sleeveless shirts
• Backpacks

This was an excellent and well organised trip. Picked up directly from our hotel, we also had the add on of lunch (sandwiches, drink, snack and fruit) which was very handy. The tour it's self was at a good pace and the guide was very good, knowledgeable and easy to follow. Slight issue - when the group had to walk single file, the people at the rear would lose signal and be unable to hear the guide. I would highly recommend.

We were notified of our pick up time the day before and we were picked up on time. - Comfortable vehicle for journey. - 10 minute comfort break before the tour of the first camp. - Given receiver and headphones to ensure we could hear our guide. - Great guide. - Another 10 minute comfort break before travelling to the second camp. - Tour with the same guide. This trip is a must do when visiting Krakow. There was a lot to take in on the visit and the tour was very respectfully done. We were told to bring a packed lunch but weren't given time to eat it. This was probably for the best as we didn't have much of an appetite after what we had seen.

Well worth it. A surreal experience. Don’t plan on doing anything after, make this the one thing you do in the day. Just so much to process.

Trip was organized very nicely. The guide was very friendly and informative, you could have seen she knew a lot about the topic. The only annoying issue is that they moved our time from 11 to 6:45, which was very annoying, as we have arrived to the city at night..

Hard experience but to do. Well organized. Requested a time, the night before they move it in advance of an hour. They could have been more precise. Meeting point for the return: The last traveler showed up an hour later. Better to give a definitive time. Very good guide with excellent Italian. Recommended

Very well organized, no extra money to pay on site Excellent driver, very friendly and on time. We were 7 people in the minivan, trip from Krakow was less than 1h30 min. The driver picked us up at our hotel. Since we were a bit in advance, we visited one train rail outside the camp. Then, he left us in front of the first camp to start the visit with a guide. After the first visit, small break to eat and we took again the van to go to the second camp, where we found again the same guide from the first camp. At the end of the visit, back to Krakow.

Communication with the company is very good - use What’s App. Transportation to and from is comfortable and punctual. The English speaking guide was well informed. She actually is from Oswiecim the town where Auschwitz-Birkenau complex is located. Her presentation was thorough and respectful.

Bus could fit 24 people including driver and the tour ""guide"", but we was only 10 people in the bus (1.5h ride) to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Got 15min break, toilets (free) and restaurant with food, snacks, drinks and ice-cream at the entrance, no need to order food from the tour company. They say no bags bigger than a A4-paper, but I had my school backpack and they let us in with it, same with many other tourists that had it. No locking storage for bags there. They splitted us up by language of the tour with other groups of the tour company. The tour in Auschwitz is 1h 50min with a guide (not same person from the bus), I recommend not to walk alone as its not interested without a guide. Then 10min break before a 2min bus ride to Birkenau. 1h 30min tour with the same guide in Birkenau. And then 1.5h ride back to Krakow. We could survive with bank cards through the whole Krakow trip, no cash is needed. Mask is required inside.

Very informative tour. I also appreciated the driver picking me up from my Airbnb and dropping me back later. The tour guide and driver were exceptional. I highly recommend this tour!

Michal made our tour absolutely perfect! He arrived on time right outside our hotels doors and couldn’t do enough for us, he was so polite and helpful. When we arrived we had to queue for the tickets but Michal sorted all this out for us so the tour got through together and without waiting! Our tour guide (Magda) was so passionate and really made the experience for us, she was so so knowledgeable and we honestly couldn’t have had a better tour guide. Michal was waiting for us after our tour and although there was so much traffic, he still dropped us at our hotels front door which is really appreciated. If any one’s having doubts on which tour to book - this is the one!!!! Couldn’t recommend it enough - thank you all for the tour
