Visitors will quickly understand why the Musée d'Orsay is frequently named Parisians' favorite museum.

The Beaux-Arts structure, which was built over a century ago to serve as a train station for international visitors to the World's Fair, now houses some of the best art from that era, making it a must-see while you're in the City of Lights.

Take pleasure in listening to your knowledgeable guide, who will eagerly introduce you to your artistic passion.

Believe it or not, when the impressionists painted peaceful scenes of rural and urban life, they were viewed as completely shocking. The artistic establishment was shaken to its core by the vivid colors and expressive brushstrokes.

Your aide will rejuvenate the violent characters of the painters, portraying how every craftsman thought for even a second to branch out and to seek after progress without settling for less.

You'll learn how these images and messages forever changed the art world by traveling back in time.

Along the way, take in all of the major highlights as well as numerous other stunning masterpieces. You can stay as long as you like in the galleries to see a special exhibit or learn more about the collection.

The guide was pretty good. I recommend sticking with a group of six or smaller, as it can be hard to hear the guide and walk around in a larger group. The guide was friendly, but I wish she went into more detail about the history or technique behind certain paintings. The museum itself is wonderful and definitely worth exploring.

Will our tour guide was EXCELLENT. He navigated the museum extremely well and was so knowledgeable. This was our 4th different tour in Paris and we've been on guided tours all over the world and he was by far the best overall guide we've ever had. He said he does the Louvre and Musee D'Orsay although we just used him for the latter. Completely enhanced our evidence, I can't recommend him enough!

Very good guide . She gave good info , showed us the highlights of the museum . Unfortunately it seems that by the museum' s rules the visitors can not keep the audio devices used by the guide for more than 1 hr and 30 min so we had to return the devices before we finished the tour of the museum

Avi was an incredible tour guide. I cannot emphasize that enough. You can tell he is truly passionate and knowledgeable of the art. He kept us engaged every step of the way and told the artists’ and paintings’ stories in a perfect format. I will recommend this to my friends and family.

I am so happy I chose to do a tour instead of roaming the museum myself. Liliya Goldenberg Was my tour guide and the way she lead us through the museum was perfect. She taught me so much about the rise of Impressionism and what the world was like when these artists came on the scene. She had so many great stories about the different artists that you don’t see on the plaques by the paintings. One was a theory that Van Gogh did not cut of his own ear. Want to hear the full story? Our guide, Hervé, was phenomenal! His passion for art and history was infectious. Every museum we visited subsequently was a richer experience because of the knowledge he imbued. Simply fantastic! Do not hesitate to book this tour. We booked by chance, not knowing the tour company or seeing any reviews. We feel very lucky to have stumbled upon this tour.

An enjoyable and informative tour. A fantastic way to get a feel for the art, the museum and the history associated with both. About the right length too, not too short or long, and left us with the opportunity to explore more at the end of the tour.

When we arrived from the metro it was raining. Our umbrellas served us well. We waited with others in sheltered areas until Wendy arrived at the scheduled time. What a perfect tour. She explained the highlights and concepts of impressionism art so well. We'll remember her tour forever. The tour was at 1015, we had lunch in the D'Orsay afterwards and spent the afternoon in the area. Perfect day. Thank you ! Don and Karen, Calgary, Canada

Great tour and I learnt so much. Arrie was knowledgeable on the various paintings. Really takes you through the highlights of the museum. I was late but the local operator number I called was very helpful and I managed to get into the museum and find the group.

Our guide greeted us at the appointed place (and waited the 20 minutes we were late due to bad traffic) and then skillfully and joyfully guided us through the Musee d'Orsay with wit and humor. She made the artwork come alive and we felt that we really learned a lot. We were able to focus on important sample works while not toiling through every single piece of art. That way we got through the entire museum in 2 hours which was about all we could last for. It was totally worth the money! Fanta...
