Reykjavik: Golden Circle, Kerid Volcano, and Secret Lagoon Tour
Head on a bus tour of Iceland’s legendary Golden Circle and stroll around the southwest. Explore the spectacular Geysir area, the Gullfoss Waterfall, the Kerið Volcano, and spend time in the stunning Þingvellir National Park.
Start your journey at the center of Reykjavik, where you will be picked up and transported to the first point—the Kerið Volcanic Crater. In this picturesque place, you can circle the crater top along a winding path and go down into its center to find and marvel at a beautiful lake.
The next point is the Secret Lagoon. It’s a charming place that attracts a lot of tourists. You have 1.5 hours to relax in the warm thermal waters and admire the peaceful surroundings.
Also, you will see the hot spring at Strokkur, which spouts steaming water 30 meters every 8 minutes, and reach the Gullfoss Waterfall to feel the spray of the glacial Hvtá River as it falls rapidly into a 32-meter-deep crevice.
At the end of your trip, visit Þingvellir National Park. It is a quite interesting place because the North American and European tectonic plates are pulling apart at a rate of a few centimeters every year. It's not surprising that Ingvellir was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004.
