Details

Get off the beaten path of Venice with a guided exploration of its lesser-known areas, rich in history and hidden architectural gems. Wander through the labyrinth of narrow Venetian streets (“calli”) and squares (“campi”), discovering Marco Polo’s House, marked by a white plaque and now repurposed as a theater.

Visit the Rialto Bridge a historic hub of commerce, and stroll past the Fenix Theatre, where legendary composers like Giuseppe Verdi once performed. While St. Mark’s Square is iconic, your guide will reveal its lesser-visited corners, alongside Doge’s Palace and the Basilica.

Optional gondola ride: Glide through Venice’s canals to admire Mozart House, the Fenice Opera House, and the Grand Canal, passing landmarks like the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Salute Church. The tour concludes at Piazza San Marco, blending hidden gems with timeless Venetian charm.

This tour was very good, the guide took us through the backstreets, we did not touch any of the busy tourist parts. He explained the history and pointed out different areas Whitchurch you would not generally see. We all really enjoyed this tour, My husband mum and dad

We ment close to St. Marc and on it went. To begin with, I have no idea about Venice history; but the guide explained in a way that even a noob like me could quickly catch up. He was really into the stories, you could tell; his excitement rubbed off. Even the weirdest questions were not a problem - he had the answer. The restaurant recommendation really pleased my taste-buds, too! Amazing tour, definite recommendation!! The 2nd part, the self-guided tour, was quite interesting, too. I listened to it on my way back to the bus so I could only get a few stops but there are so many you can access!! If u book this tour I'd recommend to take the next day off so you can fully engage in the self-guided part, it's worth spending the time. Well, anyway: Thank you, it was great!

Not to miss! We recommend it at the beginning of the stay. Very interesting with lots of little anecdotes depending on the place. There is a nice balance between historical and anecdotal aspect. Our older teenagers were receptive to the explanations and loved this visit. Our guide who has lived all his life in Venice gave us the good sides of Venice, the good tips. She gave us advice for certain purchases (and it was not easy to find the place afterwards without having taken notes). And she also had a critical mind about the mass tourism that Venice represents and all the inconveniences that this engenders.

There were two of us and we booked an hour walk with a guide. It was easy to book and I would highly recommend it. We were only in Venice for two days and the walking tour gave us so much information and helped us to get orientated. It very much added to our trip!!

It was a real pleasure to do this tour. Francesco the guide is excellent telling good stories, showing details, giving useful information and making the tour interesting for everyone ( there was an 9 years old boy in the group and he was completely integrated) Very interesting to visit the streets with a Venitian approach.

Our Guide Nicoletta, explained to us the little hidden mysteries of Venice by taking us through narrow streets, each prettier than the next. The people who took part in the excursion allowed us to share a good time with very interesting questions and the 2 hours spent were a special moment that we did not imagine at the start.

Friendly guide, small group therefore full of questions asked outside the executives, the guide knew his visit well and made us discover places "outside the framework" only downside visit ordered in French but done in English because French guide not available...moderately appreciated by one of us who doesn't speak the language at all...

The tour was very informative and a small group of about 10 people (other tours we walked past had more than double this). The tour lasted around 100 mins and left dead on time and was easy to find the meeting point. A substantial time was spent at each location and this is a fantastic thing to do at the start of your trip to help you work out other things you would like to do whilst you are in Venice. Main points included: San Marco Square and facts about it, iconic Venetian locations such as world famous book shops, coffee shops and churches, the way in which Venice has sustained itself over the years and the unique techniques that have been used to build and survive. Reason for four stars- at points it was a little hard to hear the tour guide in noisier locations however I would recommend this style of tour rather than a bigger one that would include electronic aids other tours have that end up muffling sound. The tour guide was extremely polite and friendly.

This tour is definitely for people who don't have any hearing issues there were no Audio-receiver devices (groups over 10 people) to assist and need to huddle up with group so as to not to miss out on information. Live tour wasn't for my husband was is impaired. It should have been stated not suitable for audio impaired. Some parts of the tour had interesting facts and unusual areas of interest so that was the goid to see in Venice.
