The tour was great! We walked (a lot!) and explored many roads, pontes and campos. The guide explained the History of the city and also the History behind the Monuments. We had almost 2 hours break before the gondola ride, and that was not expected. By the time we Started the gôndola ride, it was already very dark.
Not to miss! We recommend it at the beginning of the stay. Very interesting with lots of little anecdotes depending on the place. There is a nice balance between historical and anecdotal aspect. Our older teenagers were receptive to the explanations and loved this visit. Our guide who has lived all his life in Venice gave us the good sides of Venice, the good tips. She gave us advice for certain purchases (and it was not easy to find the place afterwards without having taken notes). And she also had a critical mind about the mass tourism that Venice represents and all the inconveniences that this engenders.
Bcp liked we were only 5. Franscesco the guide was very interesting and nice. The tour is English. A QR code giving access to an app is given for comments in French. We did not use the app for the visit but for the rest of the stay because you have explanations of the main monuments of Venice including those that we do not see during the tour.
It was a very good tour and our guide was very interesting and informative. The speaker system was effective and I could understand everything that was said (I have a slight hearing problem) I enjoyed the tour. I think it is mis-named as it wasn't really mysterious. Perhaps it would be better titled 'Venice beneath the surface,' or something like that. But worth doing, definitely.
There were two of us and we booked an hour walk with a guide. It was easy to book and I would highly recommend it. We were only in Venice for two days and the walking tour gave us so much information and helped us to get orientated. It very much added to our trip!!
Very interesting visit focusing on life in Venice, around the St-Marc district, with a dynamic and friendly guide, speaking very good French, knowing her subject perfectly and eager to draw the attention of tourists to the particularities that characterize the city and the life of the Venetians, in particular on the management of high tides, the architecture, the maintenance and the renovation of the buildings, the problems which the city must face, etc… We were 6 people for the visit in French this morning of September 25. To recommend.
the first guide Valentina was very good and very kind, she explained very well and answered all the questions of the members of the group in a quick and targeted way. very good. the second guide, Alessandra, who accompanied us before the gondola ride, is a marvel, fantastic, funny and very friendly. he brilliantly conducted an Italian/French tour switching from one language to another with impressive ease! we are definitely satisfied
Was a top tour guide who brought the most important key points about Venice over well in the short time - and also places that you don't get to see otherwise - and it was an exciting tour. I can only recommend the guided tour in the morning, as there are still relatively few tourists around at this time.
