Great value and a must do if you're in Venice for the first time. The Gondola ride comes with 5-10 minutes of commentary on the history of Venice prior to the ride. The ride is shared, meaning you will be on the Gondola with other people. After the ride, there is an optional VR experience that details some more history in a very cool VR video seen with a VR headset in which the history is shown to you visually as well as auditory.

We didn't really sail in the small streets. Only between the taxi boats. There wasn't much to see on the route. In short, too much money for what it was. The only positive was the experience and a friendly man.

The guide Ricky was brilliant, very informative and gave a great commentary on the way to the gondola with an unexpected mini walking tour...Ricky deserves 10 out of 10 for his part however, he saved the day with my review which would have been for a lot less starts otherwise because unfortunately the gondola rode wasn't as good. We were told we would be directed by the gondolier, where to sit to balance the gondola ...he didn't give any directions and the gondola was then weighted too much on one side by uneven passengers weights which meant that it very much felt and looked as though we would tip over the whole time, the water almost came into the boat it was that close in fact. All passengers screamed when we first pushed away from the dock as the gondola lurched so badly to one side it felt to us all like it was going to flip over. We saw no other gondola having this problem.....My daughter was terrified the whole time and and it ruined our experience of our first time on a gondola.

The 15 minute short walking tour from the meeting point to Gondola was very informative - give to use by a native Venetian. She also gave us good local tips. The ride was a must do, but not that private since we were with another couple

The gondola ride was awesome!! we had an extra guide who told us about the history of Venice and its canals, we were also able to chat with the gondolier. You spoke French pretty well. We highly recommend this experience!!

We are really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was Clementina. (I hope I spell her name right). She was so kind and telling us a lot of stories about Venezia. Gondolier was amazing! He rowed the gondola perfect! I highly recommend this tour!

We are so glad we did the 1 hour versus 30 minute gondola ride, we definitely could have stayed out longer! It is definitely worth getting out on the water to be able to see the city from a different perspective. Yes, there are cheaper/shorter trips if you just want a quick experience of it/for the 'gram, but this particular tour you get information on various building landmarks and information on how Venetians lived and traded back in the day.

According to the ad we booked with this company as they offered 6 passengers. Fine only 5 but questioned. They were extremely rude and argued with us re our booking, paper vouchers and electronic proof of purchase. After an hour they realized we were not Leaving so put us in boats. 3 of us were with the musicians and had fun but the others couldn’t hear the music well as the gondolier was on his cell the whole time. Our gondolier was yelling at us when we were getting out. Take your chances

That was great! a perfect German guide, a super nice gondolier, who got the ride extended by 30 minutes instead of an hour! We were with the Gondola San Marco, Grand Canal, La Venice Opera, Rialto Bridge, Bridge of Sighs Doge's Palace and much much more !!! THANK YOU

Enjoyed the gondola ride. Beautiful views. Be wary that it is advertised for 30 mins but that also includes the walk from the meeting place to the gondola and then our gondola finished a few mins early so probably was only around 20 mins. Good experience though

This is a MUST while in Venice! We did the shared serenade because it was more affordable and it was just us and two other people with the musician in the front. He played a great mix of slow pretty songs and fun upbeat songs. Felt like the ultimate Venician experience.

This was fantastic and totally worth the money! My husband and I traveled to Rome, Florence and Venice in July 2018. We were on a budget and didn't want to bust the budget, so went with the "shared" gondola option and then splurged to have the serenade option. The experience was unforgettable and easily the best part of our whole trip! The singer and the man with the accordion had great chemistry and were constantly interacting w/ my husband and I. I thought the 20 mins sounded kinda short, but it ended up being the perfect amount of time. Do it at sunset around 7:30 if possible. Highly recommend this to all my family members and friends, it was simply enchanting and something my husband and I will never forget!

We had a peaceful ride w/ Luca in the smaller canals. I wish we could afford a full hour! It was nice having him tell us general information about Venice and his own experiences. And he takes really good photos!

We like that it is off the beaten path. We went to the quiet part of Venice. We truly enjoyed the old buildings. Our gondolier expertly maneuvered the gondola. He shared little stories along the way. We did not expect him to do but we greatly appreciate it. He was very courteous and considerate. Unfortunately, we cant remember his name.

We enjoyed the ride, but with hindsight it would have been nice to have a guide to point things out. You need to be there 15 mins before your booking, don’t rely on the water bus it took ages to get there, much longer than we thought even though we had done a check the day before so we knew where we were going. The gondolier was so skilled it is amazing to see him work.

Great experience if you want to enjoy the channels of Venezia out of the crazy and noisy streets. We did it at 6pm, which was super nice as we still had sunlight during sunset. The gondoliere was very polite and cheerful. He spoke italian, spanish and english. We recommend the private tour to have the most of it.

Great gondolier. Asked if we preferred to hear about the city buildings on the ride. We did and he provided interesting insights along the way but it was just right (he also gave time for my wife and I to talk and enjoy the scenery). For us the “off the beaten path” ride through old Venice was perfect. I wanted to avoid the grand canal.

The gondola ride offered a classic Venice experience, but the advertised commentary was underwhelming. Aside from a quick guide provided before boarding, there wasn’t much information or insight during the ride itself. It felt more like a tourist novelty than an informative experience.
That said, considering the cost compared to other gondola rides, it wasn’t too bad. Just don’t go in expecting detailed commentary or a deeper understanding of Venice’s history. It’s more about soaking in the atmosphere than learning about the city

Great experience when in Venice. As you’re walking to gondola they give you a small overview of the city and the sites that you pass. Once on gondola there is some pointing out of things in the canals. It was fun!

We signed up for a gondola tour. Did not realize there would be another brief tour as we walked to the gondola docks. That was ok, but our primarty reason was to take a gondola ride. We enjoyed the gondola ride, however there was no interaction with the gondolier. Personally was not looking to be entertained by him or have an extensive conversation, but not even a welcome, hello or thank you.
