Straight forward enough to find the meeting place and then a short walk to the gondola well organised in terms of splitting the large group into smaller groups for each gondola so the waiting time was minimal once we arrived at the departure point. The ride itself was great, loved the narrow canals and then the experience of entering the Grand Canal. It was wonderful to go past other gondolas, some with Italian singers on board. The trip definitely made our Venice day trip very special.

Great to experience a gondola ride in Venice. The skills of the gondolier was remarkable - they can turn those boats on a pinpoint. We accessed the gondola at a very busy station - at times it felt a little ‘cattle market’ with a lot of people being directed into different boats. Once off the grand canal it was peaceful to glide down smaller canals however it was VERY busy.

The gondola ride was sensational. Able to venture beyond the streets to see the real tradition and build of Venice. It was difficult to find the meeting point, which looked abandoned shop during our recce, so we were a little worried before. Then when we returned at the booking time it was ok. The ride itself was excellent. However the tour guide and gondola chap had little interaction with their clients which was disappointing. Seem to tolerate tourists, but they need to remember tourists work hard all year to earn their money to come and spend on holiday, and just a bigger smile and a few more words to their clients would make all the difference. Sadly this seems a common occurrence in Venice.

Our guide, Alessia, made all the difference. She was absolutely wonderful. As a native Venetian, she had an amazing grasp of the history of the city and its art, and conveyed it all in a very comprehensible manner. I learned way more about Venice than I had expected.

Sandra was amazing. She was full of knowledge. I wish we could have spent more time in the church instead of the doge area. They called us the day before to change time of tour. We agreed but it did cause us to have to rush to dinner. The toilet and shopping time is too short so we didn’t get to buy a book. Very good guide thank you

The tour was excellent with a wonderful guide who was passionate and knowledgeable about all the history and very helpful making sure that we all heard her and answered all of the questions. 5 stars for her

Fantastic tour with Giovanna, an extremely nice, hard-working Venetian woman who speaks perfect German. Very well organised, extensive and interesting information about Murano and the history of this small island. Lots of new impressions and, above all, good memories. Absolutely great and highly recommended! We (Nina and Jürgen) say thank you dear Giovanna

We chose a private tour with a guide to the island of Murano, and it was a very pleasant experience, a far cry from group tours. Our guide took the time to tell us about the history of Venice and we visited places far from the tourist crowds. We stayed in Venice for four days, and this outing was by far the best. Grazie mille!

we had a guide keen on history and we were only two people so privileged visit, on the other hand a little light content: a demo in a single glassware (where we spent most of the time visiting the store with the seller on our heels) + visit to the basilica, the rest of the island is apparently not planned in the program (too bad!) .. but very helpful guide in any case (to help us find the right shuttle boat to leave )

Not sure what the lagoon city was about but think they just meant around the little canals. Well worth the money and saved us a lot of money than turning up on the day to book one with the gondola service :)

You think of Venice, you think of gondolas. The saving we made compared to if we had just turned up on the day was fantastic - my girlfriend has been to Venice seven times now but has never been able to afford a ride. Although half an hour seems like it might not be enough, you really get a feel for this unique city and end the ride with a short trip up the Grand Canal, so it is ample time and great value.
