Thomaso was an excellent guide. He was so stressed as 3 of our party were late & he was so apologetic, we ended up leaving after waiting 15 minutes for these people who said they were 5 minutes away. Apart from that, which was down to those people who have no problem making others wait, it was one of our best experiences during our stay. Thomaso was good fun, so knowledgable & shouldn’t do enough for us. We would highly recommend this trip. Our photos are amazing. We met a lovely German family & a great guy from New York on the trip. The Prosecco was really good quality too.

The first 2 islands were very nice, the last one was not much (a church on an island) There were also people who did the 2 islands tour, I would recommend that to people. A visit to the glass museum is an absolute must as far as I am concerned, but I have not seen a tour in a glass factory (they must mean the museum, but you can visit it at your own expense and opportunity)

The price is quite good compared to other options, however it is a little tedious having to listen to the guide repeat the same information in 5 different languages, because there comes a time when he is talking about monuments or places that are no longer in sight While the boat is moving, it would be preferable to book something smaller with the preferred language. Aside from that, the overall experience is good and the guide is very helpful and friendly.

Murano part was spoiled by being captive in one shop and factory. We would have liked time to walk to all the shops, so the stop should have been another 1/2 hour longer. Technically one could have left the shop but there was no time, and you had to come through the shop again to get back to the boat. The other two islands were superb stops, and perfect as they occurred. Fifteen more minutes on Torello would have been icing on the cake.

Our guide met us at the meeting point and was even there thirty minutes early! He had my name on an iPad and spun around to make sure I’d see him. Which made things super easy. We booked a private gondola ride and it was just my boyfriend and I. The ride did last the full thirty minutes. The gondola rower was excellent. A very charming man with a sense of humor. He pointed out things to us as we enjoyed the ride and also sang. He also told us to take pictures and allowed us to move around the boat in order to get good shots. He also had us kiss every time we went under a bridge. Overall the experience was amazing and we appreciated him allowing us to be touristy and take pictures and really enjoy the whole ride. I would recommend this 10/10. Very happy.

Rosella our tour guide was fantastic, very informative. We loved hearing about the fascinating history and folklore of Venice’s islands. Everyone at the glass factory in Murano and the lace shop in Burano were friendly, informative and a really good laugh. Seeing the way the glass pieces were made was also fascinating and thoroughly entertaining! Burano is also beautiful. It was mine and my mum’s favourite part of our trip to Venice. The Prosecco on the way back to Venice was also lovely! I would highly recommend this tour, great fun, great chance to meet people, explore and learn more about the Venetian islands and check out/buy some beautiful artisan gifts!

Our guide Christine, a local, was fantastic. She was professional, clear in her explanations and gave a lot of insider tips. We left at 9.30am and were back by 2.30pm. Approximately 1.5hours per island. I think if you are in Venice for more than 1 day it’s worth checking this out. I enjoyed the glass blowing, the lace making was a bit haphazard.

Friendly, informative guides who give brief history of how Venice was built. You’ll learn how the Gondolas remain in the family and how the Gondoliers respect one another and work together to keep your ride safe and enjoyable. Highly recommend this Tour. Ezra, our Guide, was GREAT. Many thanks mille grazzi

Venice Boat Rides: A Unique Way to Explore the Floating City

Venice is a city built on water, renowned for its stunning canals and bridges, as well as its romantic gondolas. If you're visiting Venice, one of the best ways to experience the city's waterways is through a Venice boat tour. Whether you're interested in a short 30-minute ride or a full-day tour, there are plenty of options to choose from. In this article, we'll cover some of the popular Venice boat rides, as well as tips for planning your own adventure on the water.

Gondola Rides

A traditional gondola ride is a must-see for anyone visiting Venice. Gondolas are the most romantic and intimate way to experience the canals, and expert gondoliers will take you on a journey passed some of the city's most famous landmarks, such as the Rialto Bridge and the beautiful villas along the Grand Canal. While gondola rides can be expensive, it's worth it for the experience. For a more budget-friendly option, consider sharing a gondola ride with a small group of travelers.

Water Taxi Rides

If you're looking for a faster way to navigate Venice's waterways, a water taxi may be the best boat for you. Water taxis are similar to traditional gondolas but can accommodate more people and travel at a faster speed. They can be especially convenient if you need to get to or from Marco Polo Airport, the train station or any other location in Venice.

Vaporetto Rides

Another popular way to experience Venice's waterways is through a vaporetto ride. Vaporettos are water buses that take visitors on a tour of the city's canals. They are an affordable and convenient way to explore Venice, as they have numerous stops throughout the city. The vaporetto is also a great way to reach nearby islands such as Burano and the Venetian Lagoon.

Popular Routes for Venice Boat Rides

The most famous route for Venice boat rides is the Grand Canal. The Grand Canal is the city's main waterway and is lined with some of the city's most beautiful architecture. It's a great way to see the city from a different perspective and soak up the atmosphere of Venice. Another popular route is through the smaller canals, which allows for a more intimate experience and the chance to witness some of the city's hidden gems.
