Learn about the history of glass on a visit to the source. A private boat will take you from Venice to the island of Murano with your tour guide. Admire the work of some of Venice’s master glass craftsmen on this island that’s been world-famous for its glassblowing for hundreds of years. On this 3-hour tour, learn about the island’s traditions and visit a traditional glass factory.
After the glassmaking demonstration, your guide will bring you around Murano, narrating secrets and histories of the Island. Visit the marvelous Church of San Donato. At the end of your tour, return to Venice historical center by boat, crossing the northern lagoon.

we had a guide keen on history and we were only two people so privileged visit, on the other hand a little light content: a demo in a single glassware (where we spent most of the time visiting the store with the seller on our heels) + visit to the basilica, the rest of the island is apparently not planned in the program (too bad!) .. but very helpful guide in any case (to help us find the right shuttle boat to leave )

We chose a private tour with a guide to the island of Murano, and it was a very pleasant experience, a far cry from group tours.
