Start your tour from Piazzale Roma or San Marco and head to Murano, renowned for its glass-blowing tradition. Watch a skilled artisan in action during a glass-blowing demonstration and get a close-up look at how Murano’s iconic glass is crafted. You'll have time to explore the island, learn about the craft, and enjoy the unique atmosphere.

Next, head to Burano, known for its colorful houses and lace-making history. Spend some time wandering the vibrant streets, snapping photos, and visiting the charming shops. With about an hour on the island, you can take in the leaning bell tower and Piazza Baldassarre Galuppi, among other sights.

The tour concludes with a return to your departure point, where you can continue exploring Venice at your own pace. It’s a perfect way to see two of the most beautiful islands in the Venetian Lagoon in just a few hours!

Meeting point

Meeting point: Meet in front of Caserma Cornoldi, near Saint Mark's Square. When in Saint Mark’s Square, walk along the bank of the Grand Canal (Riva degli Schiavoni). Caserma Cornoldi is down the fourth bridge. The activity provider's blue boat will be there. Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the departure time.

We loved the glassblower's performance; it was fascinating to watch. The shopping time was very short. The same goes for Murano, a cute little island but too little time to shop. Otherwise, the boat ride was very pleasant and the guide was very friendly.

Very interesting trip, the Murano glass factory is practically an art museum. There are beautiful and unapproachable pieces. It's a shame about the short time available, only an hour, Burano is also enchanting. Explaining everything to 100 people in 4 languages is not easy, perhaps it should last an hour more. However, the final judgment is more than positive..

It felt very organized and we enjoyed that aspect of it. We found the tour informative and thoroughly impressed with the guides handle on multiple languages. We did not know what to expect for the islands but really enjoyed them and the time allotted at each location, especially with the warm weather . We had expected to be dropped back off at a sorting point so we were surprised to be dropped off at St Mark's and have to figure out our way back to our starting location. Once the boat docked,we had intended to tip the guide and get some instructions from her, but she was the first to get off the boat and took off right away.

Definitely worthwhile taking this trip. It was very busy and we were kept waiting in a queue on the dock in the hot sun for over 40 minutes before we boarded and left for Murano which wasn’t great, felt like cattle, but glad we didn’t bail as we enjoyed our day, especially Burano
