Enjoy the Traditional Chianti Wine and Food on a Half-Day Tour
After meeting your guide and boarding the coach, proceed straight to the Chianti region. On the way to the first winery, your guide will provide you with a thorough lecture about the important landmarks around you.
The winemakers will joyfully welcome you at the first "cantina" of the day. After a brief introduction to the winery's history and production methods, take a guided tour of the facilities and nearby vineyards.
Learn everything you need to know about wine making, the materials used to make barrels, and what makes a wine a "Chianti Classico." The next step is to begin your first tasting session with four distinct wines.
Each wine you taste will be described to you, and you will also be given some tips on how to enjoy and appreciate the wine. The wines will be accompanied by locally produced snacks like salumi, bread, olive oil, and cheese.
By getting on the bus, you can continue on to the second winery. On the way, stop at a scenic lookout to take in the stunning Chianti Hills panorama. You can find out how the wine is made, what distinguishes their vines, and how the weather can affect the grapes at the second winery.
Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the vineyards and a quick guided tour of the facilities. After that, you can sample up to three more wines while hearing from the charismatic winemaker in your area about each one's distinct characteristics. Before returning to Florence, you will have a bit of a free time.
