The elevator process was very easy. You walk up to the access on the left side of the Duomo (if you’re facing it head on) and it’s towards the back. They’ll scan you and search your bags. Masks are required at this time. We arrived at 9:30AM but the crowds were still very busy for this time of day. I wish there were earlier time slots but understand that there may not be any staff working.

Perfect in every way! The wait time for our 10a was about 30 minutes for the elevators. Had we gotten there 5 minutes later we would have had to wait over an hour as the line was LONG. The views from above are fantastic, you can take as long as you want to walk around. There are a few stairs to climb to get up to one level but very manageable. A must see if in Milan

The architecture and level of detail that the artists printed in the manufacture of the entire ceiling is marvelous. However, there is no one to explain some key or historical points of the place, nor support for people with some movement difficulty, especially considering that the Terraces are full of scaffolding in a sector due to maintenance.

Booked this trip as we wanted to experience something different. It’s worth the price and is a unique experience being on the top of a cathedral and have a better look at the architecture. Definitely recommend! Annoying thing is just having to exchange the e tickets for paper one, but luckily there was no queue on the day

Amazing views and such a lovely place to explore, would definitely visit again if I return to Milan. The stairs were easy enough to walk up too! Not a winding spiral staircase like some places have, and the staircase is one way, with another one to go back down, so you’re not squeezing past people while going up/down!

If you don't like stairs or heights, don't book this! Great view from the top, but it is a lot of stairs. There is a different ticket for the same thing with a lift. Some of the roof is being refurbished, so you can't access everything or see in all directions at the moment, but still worthwhile.

I'd recommend booking online so you don't have to wait in the queue to buy a ticket. It was quick and easy to enter with a pre-paid ticket. We went up to the terrace of the cathedral via stairs. The stairs are fairly narrow, but definitely manageable. The views from the terrace are priceless!

Visiting the roof terraces is a great experience that should not be missed. This can also be seen when climbing stairs, because if you run out of breath, you can definitely take a break in between - if there is not too much visitor traffic in the morning or evening hours.

I can really recommend to go to the terraces and see not just the roof from the top of Duomo. Also a small tip - if you don't go back by stairs but the way where the elevator is, it is possible to enter Duomo itself (with no lines and no entrance fee). ;-)

Line moved quickly at the entrance, going via lift was an excellent choice as it was raining and cold, so climbing stairs would probably be uncomfortable and slippery. View was amazing, so was the architecture. Would recommend! A must see while in Milan.

Pick one up in advance to avoid the hassle of purchasing a Milan Duomo admission ticket on the day of the event. The cathedral's vast rooftop, which provides a bird's-eye view of the church and a panoramic view of Milan, is by far its most distinctive feature. The rooftop is accessible to anyone who wants to see this famous landmark. You can challenge yourself by climbing the 250 stairs or take the convenient elevator.

From the rooftop, take in the distinctive rows of white marble spires while looking out over the city from more than 150 feet above street level. The cathedral began construction in 1386 and was completed in 1965, making it an iconic Milan landmark. There are few better examples of Italian Gothic architecture in existence, all of which are constructed of stunning marble quarried from the Candoglia region.
