Murano and Burano Half-Day Lagoon Trip
Starting from Piazzale Roma railway station, you can take a trip to Murano, which is renowned for its glass-blowing industry. This age-old tradition has been passed down through generations, resulting in unique styles developed by each glass blower.
During a glass-blowing demonstration, you can observe and distinguish the differences between various craftsmen and brands. A 1-hour stay on the island promises to be an interesting and exciting experience. Next on your itinerary is the island of Burano, where crochet work thrives and the town is famous for its brightly colored houses.
Burano boasts magnificent landmarks, such as the leaning bell tower and the main square, Piazza Baldassarre Galuppi, named after the great 18th-century composer. You have 1.5 hours to explore the island and browse some local lace shops.
The final leg of your journey involves visiting Piazza San Marco and sightseeing, including the Doge’s Palace and Campanile, while strolling around the famous colonnades.
