Details

Starting from Piazzale Roma railway station, you can take a trip to Murano, which is renowned for its glass-blowing industry. This age-old tradition has been passed down through generations, resulting in unique styles developed by each glass blower.

During a glass-blowing demonstration, you can observe and distinguish the differences between various craftsmen and brands. A 1-hour stay on the island promises to be an interesting and exciting experience. Next on your itinerary is the island of Burano, where crochet work thrives and the town is famous for its brightly colored houses.

Burano boasts magnificent landmarks, such as the leaning bell tower and the main square, Piazza Baldassarre Galuppi, named after the great 18th-century composer. Look in some of the lace shops during your visit to the island.

Well organised host trip to Murano and Burano. Glassmaking demonstration was good. Not long on each island but enough to get a flavour and take lots of photos. Boat ride was interesting with information given by the guide. I think it was good value and would recommend as a half day trip which doesn’t eat into a short break in Venice too much. Loved the colourful houses on Burano which was the main reason for booking.

I highly recommend this perfect trip to Murano and Burano. It was beautiful, informative, and a shopping extravaganza! I wish I had done the full day tour to spend more time! One negative was the meeting place!!! Give yourself extra time. 8 of us waited with no guide meeting us!

Just nice, and we wanted to take an individual picture on the gondola but was told many others are waiting as we are still in the gondola before we leave. I was disappointed with it and the only picture we took for ourselves, like in a group or selfie, not an individual.

There were too many people. It was too confusing trying to find the boat at first.

A lovely half day trip (4 hours) just enough time on the islands (just over an hour on each) to get some great photos and browse the shops. Glad we took this trip to visit such beautiful peaceful islands and get out of the city for a bit.

the visit to Murano was very short, perhaps they could give more minutes to tour the island, everything else is ok

Great experience and not too expensive! I’m giving only 4 stars because they got held up and we lost time to visit the island of burano… we only got 1h30 there
