It was awesome. The host was very entertaining and comedic. She was so knowledgeable about Amsterdam and we have learned a lot. The tour came with unlimited wine/beer and cheese. So take your seat and enjoy the atmosphere. Beautiful and fun tour.

Eye candy not listed but given for free. We love Jenne and Joel. If you see this know we’re all thinking of you. My friend Jess said it was the best day of her life and I have to agree. €10 extra for unlimited cheese and wine was worth it. We all hope to return one day.

The boat ride is beautiful, the cheese and wine were great, and the our guide was amazing with answering all our questions and giving interesting facts about Amsterdam. Highly recommend

The boat cruise was good, nothing beyond that. The highlight for me was the unlimited wine and cheese, though it was clear that they were not of the highest quality. Despite this, I would still recommend it as the activity becomes more enjoyable with a drink in hand. The best part of the tour was undoubtedly our guide. Their enthusiasm was contagious and truly made our experience memorable. I doubt the tour would have been as enjoyable with a less engaging guide. I wouldn’t recommend the tour if you have other plans or things to do in Amsterdam, but if you're inclined to try it, this company is reputable, and the service was incredible. It's recommended for those looking to enjoy a relaxed cruise with some wine and cheese.

Tour was great. Our host was great - funny and personable. There is a big step down into the boat but they are helpful. Great way to see the city. However, it is much cheaper to just book when you get there at the dock, there are three companies and departures every 15 mins with cheese and drinks 20 euros cheaper than booking through they your guide (their markup).

All staff amazing especially the girl hosting the tour. Very informative and funny and couldn’t do anything more for us all. Husband loved the cheese and mustard offered. Decent drinks choice. Our favourite activity in Amsterdam

The tour was wonderful! Our guides, Sofia and her BFF, were fantastic! Plenty of wine and cheese to keep is going for the duration of the tour. Would highly recommend to others and would do it again ourselves next time we visit!

The whole crew was very welcoming and friendly. A very attentive skipper greated us and helped us get aboard. The guides were perfect - very knowledgeable and entertaining. They made sure everyone had enough to drink througout the ride, explained everything very clearly, answered any questions we had and, for the rest of the time, kept the conversation going very naturally with the guests. We learned a lot about Amsterdam's history and it was also a nice way of getting to see a bit of the city at the same time. The experience is absolutely recommendable! A big thank you to our skipper for a safe and comfortable ride and to our brilliant guides Alicia and Cedric who made this trip really fun for everyone (teenagers included)!

get in the queue early so you can get a window seat otherwise you will have strangers taking 409 selfie in your photos of historic buildings and bridges

Our boat trip with Captain Dimitrov, Stijn, and Willem was pure joy from start to finish! I haven’t laughed this much in years - honestly, I’m counting it as my daily ab workout. These three aren’t just great sailors, they’re top-class entertainers who definitely deserve a raise. We’ll be back for sure… partly for the views, but mostly for the jokes!

I really enjoyed the trip. We drove past typical sights like the Anna Frank House. It was really nice to see Amsterdam in this way.

It was a very nice evening and an hour was more than enough. However, it was very tight and crowded.

Guide was very funny. It was great learning about all the history of Amsterdam. Definitely recommend doing this. This was the second time I’ve been to Amsterdam and the second time I’ve done a tour with this same company. Definitely recommend.

When we arrived it was clear the trip was oversubscribed and to make it worse, the people behind us acted like children and pushed in front of us to get seats, leaving us not being able to join the boat ride that we booked. The staff were very apologetic and put us first in the queue for the next boat, offered a free drink and a cookie each. The trip we went on was brilliant, plenty of space and it was open top with tables so we could enjoy the beautiful evening sun. Thank you to the staff who were working the evening 17/07, your excellent customer service made it a joyous experience for us to end our trip to Amsterdam 😊

The captain Simon was amazing entertainer and guide. I recommend this to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Good value for money. The boats are filled quickly, with no breaks in between, no long waiting times. No one has to stay on the quay and be "devastated" (quote from another review). The audio guide was appropriate (GPS-oriented) and the instructions from our "captain" were useful.

The cruise was good value for money. Probably not as great a view as a roofless boat but the weather was cold so this worked for us.

A must do in Amsterdam, you will to get almost everywhere in the city, with guided audio and a captain who also a guide too. Easy to use, access and good value too

The canal tour itself was fine. We were a little annoyed that the audio guide and the captain explained things at the same time. You couldn't hear both at the same time. The audio guide didn't really fit the tour either. Sometimes things were explained that you didn't see at all because you had already passed by or they came much later than announced or we had to take a different route because of the heavy traffic. We can't recommend the tour in rain or drizzle. The windows had to stay closed and the drops made it pretty difficult to see out. Next time we would like to do a canal tour in good weather and in one of the older canal boats.

The relaxed ride through the canals at night, the information given by the guides was good although could have been more if did during the day being able to see more?!

Amazing!! I went with my partner and we found an extremely cozy place at the end of the boat where we lied down for the whole hour and got served with any (and unlimited) drinks we wanted. The 2 guides were very friendly and also told us lots of interesting infos about Amsterdam. It was absolutely worth the money.

Rob & Aigiz were fantastic guides! We learned so much about Amsterdam, in a light and fun way. The boat was comfortable. But the guides really made the trip special. Thank you for a wonderful tour- we will be back!

Amazing! Probably the most entertaining experience we had in Amsterdam! Our guides Kyan and Zofia were great! (We even got a free shot for answering a question right). It’s not the first cruise I have been to in Amsterdam but it was definitely the best. So if you are looking to discover Amsterdam whilst having fun with friendly people + a delicious drink, this is the tour to book!

Overall experience was great. The guide and hostess on the boat were fabulous and friendly. The boat itself is not very comfortable as the top covering is low and seats are high so your neck and back are quite cramped if it’s a rainy day (which is often in Amsterdam). It would probably be way more comfortable with the top open but on a cold wet day the top needs to be covered.

Loved entire cruise. Boat comfortable audio great and it saved me much time trying to get around highlights on foot. Highly recommend

The duration as perfect. Got to see and learn so much more than I would have on foot. Perfect time to do it right before sunset so you get the city at daylight and the night lights. Enclosed so not cold like other boats looked but had an outside area you could go to for photos or to sit I'd you preferred.

A beautiful evening, nice service, but an audio guide without any timing. The stories were without direction and without regard to whether what was being told was in the right place.

The location of the sights needs to be described better (e.g. left, right, front). It was too warm on the boat and there was a lack of fresh air. Drinks offer would have been nice

We really loved the trip! By changing from sunset to night, we were shown a completely different picture of Amsterdam. Unfortunately, the audio guide was like any other, only including a few sights. The impressions of the city were still beautiful and memorable. You have the option to stay seated in the closed area or go to the back into the open area. The driver and other staff were very nice. Although we had already taken another canal cruise, we really enjoyed this cruise.

Very nice ride and view of Amsterdam. Especially outside of the boat. Would recommend everyone to experience it sometimes.

We did make a tour at the city and sometimes the guide talked about some fun facts but most of the time we had the information coming from the walls with a pre recorded audio with headsets making us able to choose which language to hear from. It was awesome, the back of the boat have a panoramic view and it's great to take pictures and apreciate the landscape.

The tour was a last minute booking after we lost pur flight. It was our 25 year anniversary and I wanted to treat my wife to something nice. This was amazing. Beautiful, romantic, Anna and Alexa, our tour waitresses were amazing. They were friendly, informative, even gave us a bottle of wine as a present for our anniversary. The tour itself, was relaxing, enjoyable, beautiful. The Canals of the Netherlands are such a trip down a part of history that we don’t get to experience often. What a beautiful city. Thank you for making this tour so good.

Definitely recommended for tourists visiting Amsterdam for the first time. Probably also for people who have been here several times before, but then you don't just see new things.

It was a beautiful canal cruise, particularly impressive at night with all the lights all around. A little more cheese could have been served.

Was an amazing experience! We only gave it a 4/5 as there were some rude people who continued to speak over the guide, even though she did ask them to quiet down, so we missed some information. I suggest a canal cruise option without commentary to be added for those who want to talk, enjoy some wine and cheese, without learning the history of Amsterdam. The guide, nevertheless of the rude people, did a great job discussing the significance of different sites. Delicious cheese platter and great wine.

The Cheese and Wine Canal Cruise was a great experience! Our guide was equally hilarious and informative. We took this tour towards the end of our trip and I’m so glad we did! There are so many sights we missed while walking and biking. Seeing the historic buildings from the canals and learning about each canal house from our guide was a great way to end our wonderful time in Amsterdam! Also, the wine and cheese were spectacular! The service was fantastic. 10/10 recommend!

The guide we had was wonderful she was very funny and just a delight to learn all about Amsterdams history from. The cheese was excellent and the wine was flowing and also very much enjoyed.

There was an expert guided tour through the beautifully illuminated canals at night. You could also ask questions directly. The service staff was attentive and cheerful. The captain did great. Really romantic moment. Calm and cozy atmosphere. Good service. Correct quantity of wine but a little more cheese would have been welcome.

The activity itself was very nice, especially as Amsterdam was lit up well at night. The cheese and wine was plentiful and nice. Unfortunately, the tour was 20 minutes late departing and no explanation was given for the delays. It states to arrive 15 minutes early, so we were stood outside in the cold for 35 minutes waiting to board the boat, making us unhappy about the service before it started. The operators could have recognised that it was cold and offered everybody the opportunity to go into the ticket office whilst they prepared the boat, but this was not considered.

The activity itself was brilliant! Highly recommended if you’re going away with the Mrs. Or a good crack with the Lads.! However they are healthy when it comes to wine pouring but stingy on the cheese side of things, I’d highly recommend smuggling your own cheese and bread on board! But all round good activity

Captain Erik was very nice and welcoming. He shared a great deal of information about Amsterdam and its history which was really interesting. The view from the canals was really unique and we had great weather for our tour. I would highly recommend this for anyone coming to Amsterdam! The drinks and snacks were a nice extra.

- excellent & knowledgeable guide - small jetty for easy access to the boat was fantastic, as I always struggle to get in and out boats - perfect boat for a sunny hot day in the middle of a heat wave: canvas roof with rolled out openings let fresh air in while providing the needed shadow - fitted a small group of 10 people with ease - great food and all kinds of cold drinks. in short: great experience!

Took the cruize at 7pm. Was great to be a small group. cruize was lovely. don't except a lot of snacks: Just some cheese and 1 hot snack. the guide had a strange humour and we never knew if it was joking or telling true facts when we asked questions so we stopped asking.

We enjoyed the cruise very much. Two hours felt far too short, as Captain Erik’s stories were so engaging that we hardly had enough time to take in the beautiful views of the canals. There was a nice selection of snacks and drinks, making it easy to relax. The small group size also created a warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!!!

The boat trip is fine and one gets to see Amsterdam from the water. We did not like the experience from this company. The guide was probably new and didn't know much. Just explained a couple of spots. i have had better ones.

We opted for the unlimited alcohol package and it was great fun. We did the cruise at night and seeing the city under the lights was an awesome experience. Our guides Luke and Belinda were amazing too. I would definitely recommend!

Our skipper was an absolute legend. He was the highlight for us. He had great stories and knew a lot about Amsterdam.

The guide was very nice. But we would have liked more information. All in all, the tour was okay, but nothing to write home about. It's also difficult when the tour title and description say that drinks are included, but you have to choose (and pay for) another option to get them. Several passengers were surprised by this. We chose this slightly more expensive tour because of the drinks. Next time, we'll choose a provider with an audio guide.

Our favourite memory from our short stay in Amsterdam! Atmosphere was amazing, I previously did this in the summer of 2021 however I enjoyed it more in March as it was dark at the time of the cruise and everywhere was lit up!

The driver of the boat was really informative when pointing out different sights to go and see. The pizza was delicious and the staff brought drinks round quickly and efficiently.

-The guid guy was so informative and funny, and the crew were friendly and helpful -good drinks options with unlimited refills -the pizza was not delicious at all, wish if it was good to make this experience better

Captain and waitresses were really friendly and helpful. Great route to see some of the city with funny anecdotes from the waitress! Pizza was delicious. Would have liked to know that not every group gets a window seat. But other than that it was a great way to spend the night and good value for money.

We enjoyed the ride which was well organises and offered good commentary. Pizza was good as well and the staff provided drinks (wine, beer, etc) all the time through the tour.

The boat trip was beautiful. But there was a drunk group of guys on the boat who yelled the whole time, really noisy. It would have been nice of the guard to calm them down a little or to at least i form the other guests so that they can book an other trip, especially cause it was supposed to be a 'chill' trip. ;)

Absolutely brilliant, and relaxing, tour. Most of the time was spent relaxing and enjoying the views, company of friends, and atmosphere of it all. The few tour guide anecdotes Lu told were informative and funny. Bo the driver has some exceptional driving abilities fitting the boat down the narrow canals. The only issue we had was finding the location to meet. It is exactly where the app says, and google maps, it’s exactly on the pointer location but there are no signs and the boat doesn’t arrive until after you are supposed to be there, so we were unsure if we were in the correct location. All in all it was a very worthwhile experience, great price, atmosphere, and hosts.

Really fantastic and relaxed way to experience Amsterdam from the canals, friendly and competent guides who struck a perfect balance of explaining the area and being quiet so we could all enjoy it. The only downside was that it was much shorter than I expected, we were returned in about 1hr 15mins instead of the listed 2 hours - I’m not sure if this is an extra allowance for traffic while traversing the route but it was a little disappointing. Other than that, I can’t recommend it enough!

We loved this on our last day in Amsterdam, the weather was beautiful and the guides were really fun, learnt a few new things about the history of Amsterdam, all while smoking.. 10/10, will definitely be doing this again next time we visit ☺️

Great tour! Covered a lot of area in relatively short time, with lots of information from an excellent host/boat captain! I would definitely recommend this - such a unique perspective of the beautiful city!

Very good tour, incredible landscape, comfortable transportation. The only problem is the website to follow the route with the guide: the audio kept stopping. Furthermore, I bought a headset on site, but the headset didn't work. So I really recommend taking the headset you already use on your cell phone, maybe it will work.

I expected to look at more places, such as Anne Frank's house which is mentioned in the description but which we didn't see. Overall it was a nice activity.

This was a great way to see the city with my 79yr old Mum and 82yr old Aunt. The boat was comfortable and had glass roof cover and sides, which we needed as it was quite rainy. We learnt a lot about the history of Amsterdam and about the various styles of buildings. Recommend.

The tour is amazing and you enjoy a stunning view while smoking. I think it's a MUST if you traveled to Amsterdam for the 420 culture. The guide was cool and explained us some highlights and facts about the city, architecture, museums... However, I wouldn't recommend it solo because the other people is not very friendly to talk with strangers, or maybe I had bad luck

Excellent chilled boat trip. The boys were very informative and answered our questions (they probably hear the same everyday) with enthusiasm and love. Good job boys. My friend and I are both 60+ so we were the oldest on the boat but welcomed so warmly felt at ease straight away. My friend doesn't smoke but absolutely loved the trip. Thank you and hope to come back in 2026 same month as its my birthday on the 7th. You better still be running your trips.

The tour was such a nice experience. The host, Sebastian, who was super cute, made it very entertaining yet also informative and the captain, freddy was also very lovely. Definitely go and see the views!!

Amazing experience- brilliant guides!! Best thing we did in Amsterdam. Only thing I would say is to more clearly warn people that there are no toilets on the ticket listing page, so they can make sure to go beforehand.

The tour was super friendly staff all top!!! Only that unlimited snacks and drinks are advertised on the cards and you are asked to pay at the end reduces the experience minimally!

Very nice canal trip, of course depending on the weather it was dry for us. We left early in the evening so we were back by dusk. The guide told a lot about the history and life in Amsterdam, well and understandably in English with a few jokes. If it is too cold there are blankets and drinks are sufficient if you choose this option. Recommendation goes out.

I really enjoyed the experience — everything was wonderful, except for the 30-minute wait in line to board the boat. However, the host and the captain completely made up for the delay. Their friendliness, humor, and engaging style were beyond anything I’ve experienced anywhere else. They shared so much interesting information in a fun way that truly elevated the whole trip to another level. Definitely five stars,

Really disappointed with the booze that is part of the deal. Unlimited prosecco and beer but if you do not like these there is nothing. Advertising needs to be more succinct

Great Canal cruise in downtown Amsterdam! Guides are young but very knowledgeable! Great the company had had blankets and umbrellas on board!

There was a lot of processing at the beginning, but it was very nice on the boat. Relatively loud atmosphere, but you quickly forget that. Very tasty food and great wine. The service staff was very attentive and quick. Great impressions at night.

A wonderful, romantic dinner. We ate very well and drank unlimited good CHARDONNAY wine. The crew on board took great care. We shared our table with another couple so a little less intimate but we had the place next to the windows and were able to admire the view. We have very good memories of it. We recommend 100%

A very enjoyable boat trip through the Amsterdam canals. Nice dinner, nice music and top crew. This was the perfect choice for celebrating a 50th birthday. More than satisfied.

We enjoyed the cruise on the canals of Amsterdam but thought the seating arrangements were a bit chaotic The commentary was difficult to hear as we sailed through the different areas of the city with the amount of people talking The food was good but would advise that the plates should have been warmed prior to serving We had the fish option and were also given plenty of wine during the cruise The staff were pleasant on what seemed a difficult job seating people which could have been solved if people had been allocated specific seats prior to boarding We would like to make a special mention to Lucy who was very helpful and pleasant

Great food! Super nice service. Unfortunately, we had bad luck with another guest who misbehaved completely. The good man had probably already looked too deeply into the glass beforehand. You have to expect something like that... The trip is still highly recommended. Amsterdam is a dream, especially at night. 😀

I booked this canal cruise as part of a 9 person stag trip from Scotland. I was booking a number of activities at the same time and I managed to overlook that this was a German cruise. As 9 non German speaking Scottish tourists I can honestly say we had the best time. Although we missed most of what the tour guide Marta was telling the group, both she and the other guests made us feel very welcome, we all had a good laugh together about my booking mishap and the sights were amazing. Was undoubtedly the best hour of our weekend and it will be talked about for months if not years to come. Highly recommend.

We had such a great experience on the Bulldog Boat Cruise! From the start, the team were incredibly kind and hospitable – we got a little lost on the way, and they kindly waited for us, which we really appreciated. Even for those who missed the boat, they generously offered a spot on the next cruise so no one was left out. The staff shared interesting facts about the city and its history, but what really stood out was their sense of humour – the commentary was both informative and genuinely funny, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Just a chill cruise around the canals mingling with the other attendees while sharing bud n beers. You’re not getting schooled about everything you’re passing and history etc, but I’m sure if you asked the hosts they’d share whatever knowledge they could. They were freakishly precise with when the rain would start/stop lol It was a fun relaxed time.

Great little boat trip, perfect if you want to smoke and chill taking in the cities sites, best to do it when it’s dark, also get free drinks and blankets.

It was a good activity I’m glad i done it, seen some good sights and could smoke. Also provided with 2 drinks; beer, wine, coke or water.

The meeting point is on the side where the AdamTower is, so behind the train station you take the free ferry (which runs every 3 minutes) and then you have about a 2-minute walk. Check-in was quick and easy, the free audio guide was also good, the app still had to be downloaded but the skipper provided help with this. The trip itself was great and informative. Clear recommendation!!

Overall good experience. The captain and the staff on board were very nice and friendly. The historical information provided by the commander is interesting. The possibility of using the audio guide directly from your smartphone in the desired language is positive. Journey of approximately one hour with the possibility of ending the tour at the central station instead of at the boarding point. The only sore point was the weather situation, we took the tour in the rain, but indoors and in the heat.

Awesome. Very pleasant staff. Reasonably priced drinks available during the walk. Superb experience.

Boat clean. Audio guide didn't work for 3 people in our group, so no operating error. Since we speak English and the captain articulated well, that was ok. But that's not the point - not everyone can speak English. It also requires a cell phone, which is not mentioned anywhere. Audio guide doesn't mean that you have to constantly hold your cell phone to your ear and your arm becomes paralyzed. We started with headphones. In addition, the labeling could be better. Hop on hop off is not the same as canal cruising. Luckily we were in the correct queue, although it wasn't immediately obvious.

Very pleasant tour to many interesting sights that can be reached by boat. Beautiful, clean and comfortable ship, which was fortunately completely covered. Nice and trustworthy captain.

The canal cruise with Captain Cat was great! She was fun and engaging, giving lots of history and details about what we were seeing. It was a small group of about 20, in a beautiful enclosed boat from 1910. There were plenty of drinks (soda, iced tea, water, juice, beer and wine) and I ate my fill of snacks (cheese and crackers, cookies, and Dutch candies). I thought it was so fun, relaxing, and one of my favorite parts of my trip. I saw so many canal cruises happening with different companies in Amsterdam, but all of the people looked so bored on all those other boats! They were crammed in on hard benches, listening to an audio guide through headphones and no one I saw was smiling. But with Captain Jack Cruises, it felt like being welcomed into a floating living room for an hour and a half 🙂 I definitely recommend!

The crew was energetic and so informative. The snacks were a lovely addition to a beautiful tour. It was far superior than the prerecorded boat tours that start from Amsterdam Central because 1. The crews the stories and information had such a personal touch 2. The boat was so comfortable you could really enjoy the sights no matter where you sat. 3. The crew. From the start to finish Mouse was amazing.We were a multi generational family group aged between 21 and 78. He was patient , kind , funny and very informative . He helped us to make sense of the history and geography, very interesting. Showed us all the pubs and restaurants to go to. This is by far the best canal cruise in the city. We had cheese, wine, beer ,soft drinks, sweets, crackers, there was so much to serve everyone plenty. Thank you Mouse . We loved your energy.

Museum is amazing!! but this is all self guided. Entry and then find a map. You are paying extra for an advanced ticket. No guide provided.

Very nice museum. I honestly decided to go due to the lack of a ticket for the Van Gogh museum, but I must say that the experience was surprising and of considerable impact. It contains a vast exhibition of works by Dutch artists, but also some works by foreign artists including Monet.

Super friendly staff, pizza was nice, could have done with the option of sauces to go with it. The staff were attentive, plenty of drink available, although make sure you ask otherwise you may go without a top up. The ice cream was a nice touch. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for more of a chilled vibe, rather than a guided tour!

Nice way to do canal cruising. Glad that we had the table by ourselves. The lady attending to customers onboard was very polite and accomodating. and was surprised that we had ice cream before end of the tour.

I liked the canal cruise, even though the focus was more on the food and drink, but that's exactly what I liked about this tour. The pizza was from New York Pizza, unfortunately it was already cold when you got it. The drinks were always refilled and you also had the choice between 3 different types of wine. The guide was nice and talked live about the things you saw.

I have done this before in 2023 and was so fun. This time, service was sooo slow for pizza and drinks. We asked for rose wine and twice got white wine which wasnt very tasty. Pizzas this time had not much flavour and were cold by time got served. Previous time had none of these issues. May of been a bad day.

The evening drive into the darkness was very pleasant and there was no lack of information. The captain's voice was quite loud; Unfortunately the pizza didn't taste good.
