I think a better way of how to get back to the bus may be a signage or landmark because some of tourist got lost going back to the bus.

Great trip!! Our opinion was that maybe seeing just one of the two castles (probably Bran - Dracula’s) would have been sufficient, as we would have preferred a little longer in Braşov. This is of course just a question of taste, though. The driver was super and (guide good too) and we enjoyed our day. If in Bucharest with a spare day, we would certainly recommend doing this. Yes, there is a fair bit of driving. But, the rewards were good for doing so!

Great experience, over 10 years ago from my last visit the place looks amazing, on European standards with a clear path to follow, just a lit bit crowded :)

Castle was lovely and very fairytale like. Prebooking the tickets was better for us, just the ticket office is not at the castle, instead down a street 3 minutes max away. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

This was our second day in Bucharest – we did a bus drive-by tour, so we really wanted to get up close to see the Old Town in a walking tour. Ed could not have done a better job – he was funny. He answered all of our questions and he gave us a real feel For not only the Old Town, but for his city in general. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour, and Ed in particular. Thank you for a wonderful 2 1/2 hours!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Walking Tour of Bucharest! We were very pleased with this guided walking tour of Bucharest’s highlights. It was a perfect way to get to know the city and its fascinating and tragical history. The guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and gave a great insight into Romania’s complex past and vibrant culture. We learned so much about the architecture, historical landmarks, and everyday life in Bucharest. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city – it’s both informative and enjoyable!

Lucien was our guide. He's funny, informative. We enjoyed our day trip very much, the weather was fantastic that day, lots of sunshine. Peles castle is under restoration so there's a lot of scaffolding on the outside. The castle was closed on a Tuesday so we only viewed from the outside, we knew beforehand. Dracula castle was over hyped and touristy. We enjoyed the town of Brasov the most. Delicious Italian meal we had and shopping too.

1 one word: perfect! Recently I had the pleasure of traveling with Narcis, and it was truly a perfect experience! Narcis shared fascinating historical stories that brought our tour to life. One of the highlights was visiting Peles Castle, where Narcis regaled us with stories of King Carol I and the castle's rich history. We explored the stunning town of Brasov, and the scenery along the way was simply breathtaking. Narcis goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable trip. Highly recommended!

I’ve been to many countries and had many of these kinds of tours. This was the BEST! Petru was AMAZING! He was born and raised in Romania but speaks English better than I do (and I am an American). British accent, which is quite pleasant to the ears. Very funny (and I do mean that in a “Ha! Ha!” kind of way). His knowledge of Romanian history and about every city we passed through and every castle we visited has got to be unparalleled. This was a LONG day but he made the time go by quickly. The highlight of my trip to Romania!

Fantastic day trip from Bucharest to Peleș Castle, Brașov, and Bran Castle with my kids. Our guide, Otilia, was punctual, pleasant, and very knowledgeable—she shared lots of interesting facts and helpful tips for Bucharest too. We left at 7 AM, stopped at a beautiful scenic spot for breakfast near Peleș, then visited the castle from 10–11. Despite some traffic on the way to Brașov, we still had enough time to explore the old town. Otilia took attendance at each stop and made sure no one was left behind. The whole tour was well-organized and family-friendly. Our driver, Gelu, was professional and made the ride smooth. Highly recommend!

Our Tour guide for the day, Otilia, was absolutely brilliant - a gem :-) ! She was full of knowledge of the places we went for the day and she certainly know how to entertain a bus full of tourist with information and a blast of good humour of Romanian cultures (weddings and funerals) interjected during our bus journey that had all of us in stiches (especially part my trip to romania was to attend a colleague's wedding here and I totally relate to her humour on the subject). If I had to rate Otilia, I'd given her a twelve out of ten ! Oh, the bus driver for the day (sorry, I can't remember his name) was brilliant too. This is a very good value for money trip and I highly recommend it to everybody !

It was a great day trip and the sights were excellent. Our tour guide Otilia was an excellent story teller on the history of the country and the area. She really made it come to life! Our driver Cosmin was excellent as well having to navigate through traffic delays because of a car race and bridge construction. We couldn’t have asked for a better team on this trip!

I was able to learn so much about Romanian history and culture, from the help of the amazing Alex - our driver and guide. It was lovely to have a smaller group van for a more tailored trip and comfort as well. I highly recommend this trip. Some recommendations for travelers - make sure to eat breakfast and possibly bring a sandwich with you if you tend to eat on a schedule. I opted to wait for lunch until Braşov, which worked perfectly for me, but I didn’t have lunch until around 2:30pm. Don’t make any plans for after your tour as we probably got back around 9pm. Many restaurants around my hotel had closed for dinner already so I decided to order in some takeout!

Our guide Stefania was amazing, knowledgeable and funny! I also recommend buying entrance tickets for the castles with the company, because you will be able to skip the line to enter at the Peles castle (it was long, at least 30 minutes on the sun). Overall, great value for money 🙏🙏

Really lovely tropical environment to explore, chill and relax. We had entry to Palm & Galaxy. Was tempted to upgrade to Elysium, but didn't feel comfortable going back out into reception to upgrade. However, we filled the full 3 hours in the other areas. We went in the massage water beds... Unsure of what it would cost, as additional costs/prices are not transparent. It's so easy to rack up a small fortune. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the massage beds. To reduce the 'add ons' take your own towel or robe, sliders/flip flops. We wished we'd taken 2 towels, as the towel dryers aren't that effective, and mine was very damp, before needing it to shower, as we left. Although we visited in November, we wished we took sun glasses, as the winter sun was low, and blinding, especially when outdoors. Left really chilled.

Nice place but quite expensive. Spa? Hot water yes, but not thermal in my opinion. I had superior spa experiences in Italy. The Gala part è is a small covered aquapark and some additions. They make you open backpacks and bags to check that you have no food brought from outside. On the other hand they have a good indoor restaurant area. Pool bar (really in the water) very nice. Palm area dedicated to those who do not have children (children under 14 years old are not allowed and ask for the document at the entrance).

Very crowded, not many spa appointments available and no way to pre-book-first come, first served. Gotta arrive before opening to get in line-even for skip the line tickets. Too many people in the pools to relax and enjoy and hard to find a place to sit. Massage was just ok-I’ve had better. Don’t recommend spending the whole day there.

We went to the spa before flying onto Vienna, WOW just WOW! The spa was absolutely incredible, so many different areas and products and services for you to use. You always expect these sort of places to provide average level food and drinks because you know they know you’ll buy it as you can’t take your own in, but it’s the opposite, the best pina colada and cheese burger I’ve ever had!! Would definetly fly back just to visit the spa! Incredible!!

It is well worth the visit, but your ticket does not allow you entry into the Elysium area, but you can buy entry ( via you wrist band) it costs an extra 7 euros, but well worth it as this area is where all the Saunas are. Sadly the beach was not open on the day we visited. However would definitely visit again

Serban, our tour guide was on time and kept us amused. He was very knowledgeable about Peles and Bran Castle. The van was impeccably clean and we enjoyed the small group vibe. Our driver Peter was excellent and did his best getting us through the traffic. Serban also took all the pictures we asked him to and made sure we got the best views. It is a long day but well worth it.

The traffic flow in Romania is very inefficient. As such, the itinerary is merely an outline. We made it to all three destinations, but our guide spent most of the trip talking about the traffic which made for a stressful and hectic experience. The guide had great enthusiasm but his energy was distracting and sometimes annoying. Unless you love the story of Dracula, Bran’s castle is a little disappointing.

Dianne S.

This is a long, long day given the amount of traffic in the area. That being said, the area around Peles Castle and Braşov are amazing. Braşov is definitely worth the trip. Bran Castle is a bit underwhelming and the cost to enter just to get photos is not really worth it.

Our tour guide was a lovely very knowledgeable young lady(sorry her name I didn’t catch) the day was a long day from 8am until after 9pm but well worth it. Both the castles were interesting I preferred peles castle for the beauty inside. Dracula castle has a lot of steep steps in narrow corridors not an issue for most people but if you have any mobility issues it would be a challenge. There is a cafe at both castles the one at peles gets very busy but if you just step outside the entrance (where the bus drops you off) you will find a few local restaurants where it’s not as busy. We were given time at both castles to get a drink and snack. Braşov was a beautiful little town where you will have approx one hour to have a wonder and get a drink. On the way home we drove through some beautiful countryside in Transylvania we even saw bears. The drive is a long drive home over 3.5 hours you do stop for a comfort break. Please bear in mind that you are high up so take a jacket depending on the time of year.

Although this is a big day out with a long drive, the journey was comfortable and well paced. Our guide was well organised and very informative. Both Peles and Bran castles are well worth seeing. Just be aware that Bran castle does require an uphill walk and also some narrow, steep steps within the castle. The free time for lunch/snacks at our last stop Brasov was much appreciated.

"Both castles were exceptional as was the Transylvanian scenery in general. Host was very knowledgeable and managed a group of 40 people and their needs very well. Only minor issue was visiting Brasov when there was a massive musical festival on and couldn’t really see or do much . It would have been better to ask the group whether they wanted to do this effectively added another 3 hours to an already long day (0715 to 2200). Other than that was a great trip. "

Hands down one of the best tour guides I've ever had. Serban Riga made every part of the trip worth it, he was full of facts and local stories. Was more than happy to answer any questions and super accommodating and professional even when faced with difficult customers. We had such a great day out with our guide Vlad He was very knowledgeable attentive and patient with our endless questions. Bran Castle was awesome especially in the snow and the bear sanctuary is a wonderful place. The stories of the bear's rescues were very moving and the staff are so dedicated. Rasnov Fortress is fascinating and there is a great viewing point high up where the fortress sits. The ride up is fun in a cart pulled up by a large tractor. The Palinca distillery was fun and we got very generous tastings from the distiller who was very warm and friendly. We had such a great day out and that is down to our guide Vlad Thank you for these memories Vlad

Bran Castle as as expected beautiful to see lots of history with a dash of cheesy vampire myth thrown in. The bear sanctuary was amazing we saw loads more than expected and and the story's are truly touching some sad but with the hope they provide. Our guild Vlad was informative and engaging through out. we found the distillery was not to our taste but am sure others will enjoy the host was lovely. The Rasnov fortress is not to be missed its not a tourist trap and has amazing views of the area.

What a day! Vali was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. His passion for the wellbeing of the bears at the sanctuary is apparent and we had a brilliant time there. The sanctuary is huge and the work they do there is much needed. Despite some of the bears still bearing mental scars from their previous lives, it is wonderful to see the environment they now enjoy and the care they receive. It was heartbreaking to hear their stories, yet heartwarming to see them being so free. Bran castle was stunning and vali's knowledge made the whole experience all the better. As part of the fort we visited was closed, Vali was kind enough to show us the nearby ski resort. We ended the day at the distillery, where we tried lots of Palinka, enjoying it so much, we bought a bottle to take back.

Very well organised, nice clean and modern coach, Vlad was an excellent guide who shared lots of facts and was always happy to answer questions, as well as keeping you updated through out the day via WhatsApp… couldn’t ask for more! The only thing I would suggest if you go on the trip is booking tickets for the Peleş castle well in advance as they sell out quickly, but if you are unable to get tickets, you can visit the Pelişor Castle instead which is on the same grounds.

The trip was really fantastic in spite of it being a long day. The guide Sonia was really good in her explanations and led the tour inside Peles castle as well for those who had bought tickets. The timing at the various places of the itinerary were well spaced. Perhaps the stop at the fuel station on the way back was not necessary? All in all a good excursion.

Everything was fine. Peles Castle limited the numbers of visitors. We didn’t buy tickets in time. However, we enjoyed the park and Palisor Castle instead. Our guide Vlad took good care of us and provided options and tips along the trip. Brasov hosted a marathon game. We cheered with the crowds for the athletes. A beautiful medieval city indeed. I hope I had more time there.

The trip was great value for the price! Our tour guide was incredibly kind and had a great sense of humor. His English was clear and easy to follow, which really helped me enjoy the experience—even though my language level is somewhere between basic and advanced. I was able to understand most of the stories, and I’d definitely recommend this trip to others!

Adriana is a very friendly and knowledgeable. She answers all of our questions. She really ensured our experience was personalized and enjoyable. Victor is an excellent and competent driver. We felt very safe in the bus. Some constructive criticism would be to keep clients informed of changes to the schedule. Highly recommend this tour!

Lovely tour guide, well planned stops and a comfortable bus for the journey. Lots of walking and not accessibility friendly due to age of construction of most of the buildings. But absolutely beautiful if able to tackle steep gradients and several flights of stairs. We had a wonderful time, would consider going again.

This was a full day! For a small price we got to see so much, and had the sweetest tour guide. She told us very informative facts about our visits, she tried to help us out with our trip and gave us tips for the remaining of our stay in her country. A great experience! Thank you

Anna was a fantastic guide, I could not rate this tour or Anna high enough. We had plenty of time at each stop, the information and stories along the way were second to none. The updates through watsapp for meeting points and time made everything so much easier. If you are thinking about booking......DO IT!!

First off, this is a really long day of 12 hours minimum so don’t make any dinner reservations as it’s highly likely you won’t be back until around 20:30. Secondly purchase your tickets on line for both castles before you set out particularly if you have no internet roaming. Once you are underway, you do get a fabulous commentary on the itinerary for the day as well as Romanian history. Dan our guide was very knowledgeable, funny and entertaining as well as looking after as all. We went in November. There was snow on the ground and the walk to the Castles, particularly Peles, was very slippery….however that was the price of incredibly picturesque scenery. The two castles are very different as one was a household and the other a fortress…..both are beautiful and spectacular. Brasov is so very pretty. This is where you will purchase a late lunch as part of your free time…..go for Micci and mustard. Wonderful. As said it’s a long day and being on time is critical…..but it’s well worth it for the photo memories alone.

We had such a fantastic day and we're well looked after by Vlad the driver and Eugen our guide. We absolutely loved seeing Dracula's castle, and we thought all the stops had a good amount of time available at each one. The drive has a stop about halfway to use the toilet and buy some food which was appreciated. We also loved hearing all the facts and interesting stories from Eugen. Thank you so much, we have a great day!

Basically, you have to have reservation to take a tour of the Palace of the Parliament. The easiest way to do that is to sign up for a "tour." They get you in the door, from there the official tour guide takes over. The place is incredible, and story about construction horrible.

It was Monday and the castles other than Bran were closed, however it was a good tour to understand the countryside of Romania in addition to the city of Brasov.

Basically just an agency to get you tickets and take you to the entrance. For that purpose it is ok - although you end up waiting around a lot at the start with no seating.

Really enjoyed the tour and the 2 guides - 1 for the outside of the building and 1 inside the building. Very informative. The only criticism is that luckily i looked at my phone as we were on the way to the parliment building and noticed had a text giving a meeting point that was different. I think that information should be sent the day before or be included in the email.

Great tour and very well organised. We received the information regarding the need for passports etc well before the tour so we were prepared. The guides were extremely good and gave us a real feeling for the times in which the building was created and the conditions at the time. Very well worthwhile.

An opportunity to see real Bucharest living, a walking and tram ride to outer suburbs, yes good food but also a visit to the traditional markets & communities with the wonderfully entertaining and knowledgeable Daniel. Highly recommended

Do it! Andrea is an amazing guide! She knew a lot about the history and architecture of Bucharest. She even took us on the bus and the tram. We had food at places where tourists wouldn't normally go and it was delicious. Everything we tried was local. The outdoor market was an experience! Andrea took the time to explain the different sections of the market and answered all of our questions about the different fruits and veggies we saw. Cool to know she shopped there, too. It was an amazing tour made even better with Andrea ! Take the tour if you find yourself in Bucharest. You will not be disappointed.

This tour is about so much more than food - although there is plenty of that as well. Alex was a top-notch guide for our group of 5. He introduced himself at the meeting point with a fresh, warm pretzel for us each. After strolling through some neighborhoods and finding out facts about who owns and lives in the pre-communism palaces, we went to a small neighborhood cafe where we had sour cherry palinka in an ice cold little cup along with a platter of typical meats, cheeses, spreads and bread. Yum! After this, we hopped on a bus to head to the large market where everything was sold from homegoods, to produce to deli items. We were all eager to buy the little palinka cups and Alex tracked some down for us. He even tracked down some palinka for us. We had a wonderful tour of the market and Alex bought from lovely produce which he prepared for our next stop at Terasa Obor, where we had some of the famous BBQ mici sausage that people will stand in a long line to buy. Not us! With Alex, we march right up to a reserved table. Mici are to die for! After this, we are off to have a tram experience and return near to our starting point. This was a fabulous tour that was very well planned and led. These Americans highly recommend it!

A really enjoyable tour: interesting, informative, and tasty! A perfect way to see and learn about Bucharest history and neighbourhoods with a local, and sample the food and drinks - especially if you are not in town for long. Our guide was informed, relaxed and friendly. The group itself not too big and a lovely bunch of people. We were not rushed, everything nicely timed to suit everyone’s needs. Recommended!
