insanely well organised. I was called + got a message the day before for the exact pick up location and time (we had to walk like 4 minutes). The bus then left on time, our guide picked us up in front of the bus, we visited Auschwitz first, then a short bus drive to Birkenau. 20 minutes after we left back to Auschwitz and around 7.5 hours later we were back home.
Bus could fit 24 people including driver and the tour ""guide"", but we was only 10 people in the bus (1.5h ride) to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Got 15min break, toilets (free) and restaurant with food, snacks, drinks and ice-cream at the entrance, no need to order food from the tour company. They say no bags bigger than a A4-paper, but I had my school backpack and they let us in with it, same with many other tourists that had it. No locking storage for bags there. They splitted us up by language of the tour with other groups of the tour company. The tour in Auschwitz is 1h 50min with a guide (not same person from the bus), I recommend not to walk alone as its not interested without a guide. Then 10min break before a 2min bus ride to Birkenau. 1h 30min tour with the same guide in Birkenau. And then 1.5h ride back to Krakow. We could survive with bank cards through the whole Krakow trip, no cash is needed. Mask is required inside.
Everything was on schedule, guide was clear with his instructions and the air conditioning in the bus was greatly appreciated. Tour in the Auschwitz and Birkenau was a bit hasty (especially at the Birkenau camp), but this was most probably due to the hot weather. Our guide on the site was again very informative but there was no interaction between the group and the guide but one could experience the scale and conditions of both of the Auschwitz camps. My recommendation would be that if you have basic or above knowledge of the site try to book one of the more in depth tours or even a private tour for a more interactive and in depth experience. Be very mindful of the weather conditions. During hot weather there is not that much shade and even inside of the buildings temperature can rise to around 40 celsius.
The tour was well organised and ran on time. The transport was very nice and comfortable. The guide was very knowledgeable and smoothly ran us through everything. There was a good pace to the information which was important given the context, it would have been easy to get upset by what was being witnessed, but the steady flow of commentary prevented us from reflecting too much and getting distracted in misery.
It was a very well organized trip. Due to my mobile phone issue, we could not get the pick up details but local partner has assisted us in the morning without a problem. Peter picked us up from the location we chose previously and he assisted us in every stage of the trip. He was like our second guide :) I would like to comment in Turkish to make sure it can be seen from Turkish tourists. Kesinlikle öneriyorum
An excellent tour, with many things to see, consider bringing something to eat because it is too long. Inside the field the guide leaves a lot to be desired as he is totally unrelated to the transfer.
We were notified of our pick up time the day before and we were picked up on time. - Comfortable vehicle for journey. - 10 minute comfort break before the tour of the first camp. - Given receiver and headphones to ensure we could hear our guide. - Great guide. - Another 10 minute comfort break before travelling to the second camp. - Tour with the same guide. This trip is a must do when visiting Krakow. There was a lot to take in on the visit and the tour was very respectfully done. We were told to bring a packed lunch but weren't given time to eat it. This was probably for the best as we didn't have much of an appetite after what we had seen.
The day before the trip, we received a call and they confirmed the pickup time. Our driver Peter arrived on time and took us straight there. Was great to skipped the security queue, there were many school parties that day. Finally the tour was conducted by a fluent English speaker. Happy to recommend.
