Great tour, pick up time communicate in advance and picked up on time. Clean and comfortable bus. Lots of walking and some steps so probably not good for people with reduced mobility. Guide was very informative and spoke very clearly, gave us ample time to see the main parts of both camps.

Excellent and well organised trip to Auschwitz. Picked up on time from our hotel and arrived at Auschwitz after a 90 mins drive. Driver and tour guide were brilliant. A short 5 mins drive to Birkenau after Auschwitz to finish the tour. A very moving tour but one that everyone should experience.

Fantastic timings on pick up and drop off. They've definitely done this before! In regards to the tour I found the auschwitz side a tad rushed ( however I understand why with the amount of people that were in attendance on the site from other tours ) In regards to the tour given by micheal/walker couldn't of had anyone better. The information and knowledge he had was fantastic a few bits I wasn't aware of. birkenau tour was very well explained given the limited structures that still stand. The sheer size of the place is scary which gives you a truer representation of the scale of evil that was underway. I very much appreciated walkers way of trying to keep the tour as original as possible instead of the reconstructed parts of birkenau. Can't say thank you enough for the tour and in depth emotional experience. Most definitely be booking more on my next visit to Poland. Loved krakow will be back as there plenty more to see the architecture is beautiful.

It is a solemn tour that every person should do. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke clear excellent English. There is plenty of time to take in all the information and we were encouraged to ask questions.

After the first tour we wanted to buy a number of books in the shop adjacent to the site. We weren't there long, but once outside it turned out that our bus had already returned to the parking lot. Another family had the exact same thing. It was resolved quickly and efficiently because we were followed up. But maybe they can give people the opportunity to buy something.

We really enjoyed our tour, our guide was great. The day was just let down a bit by the sheer volume of crowds. I think the indoor parts of tour all lost their poignancy and intensity due to us always running into the group in front or the group behind running into us. We were in the afternoon with the non-tour guide customers also touring at their own pace and so it just felt a bit chaotic at points. The outside moments at Birkenau were far more touching and emotional with no distractions. I’d probably recommend a morning slot. Booking process and follow-on comms were excellent, thank you!

Very exciting and impressive tour, only the waiting time of about an hour in front of the museum in Auschwitz was a bit tedious. Unfortunately we didn't have much time left in Birkenau because we didn't get there until quite late. But in principle I can only recommend it, I would do the tour again at any time.

We really enjoyed the auschwitzz trip. The tour guide was good but could only speak broken English so sometimes we struggled to understand him. We were put into a different group and split away from our family on our trip. Clear communication is key on these kind of trips and that is where it lacked unfortunately.

It has gone very well. However, the van was very small. The person who picked us up didn't know Spanish, but once in the museum the guided tour was in Spanish. Very good service. Auschwitz is a must-see if you are in Krakow.

A must do tour if you are in Krakow. Our tour guide was excellent.. very well organised tour and glad we went with the guide option.. our driver told us that on some tours people are just dropped off and then have to queue for ages to get on. Definitely worth the money and would highly recommend.

Even with snow the tour went ahead as planned with no delays. The driver and guide were fantastic. The tour itself was very emotional but definitely worth a visit so you can have some comprehension of what happened. You are outside 50% of the time so if you go in the winter months you will need to wrap up warm

The auschwitz tour was great, the guide was great and really informative! Nothing bad to say about this part of the trip. However, the salt mines on the other hand was a different story. The guide rambled on about things that were irrelevant. Didn’t explain what each part of the mine was. Said something and practically ran away from the group. As we chased after her she had already started speaking again so had no idea what was going on. Also spoke extremely fast so also didn’t help. Constantly on your feet for 3 hours (after being at auschwitz) in a boiling hot room with no where to put coats or bags. There were about 2 pretty rooms at the mines. And the only lift to get back up 850 steps was an old mine lift. That has definitely no health or safety checks on it. And has defo been on there for about 50 years. So scared us to death. On a whole the salt mines was a waste of time and money and would never ever do them again or recommend them! Auschwitz is a great tour! Book that itself.

Very good organization of these excursions. We received several emails and text messages the day before and the same morning to be informed of the time at which our driver would pick us up from our apartment. The visit to the Auschwitz and Birkenau camps is very rich in emotions. Our guide was friendly and interesting. You have to walk a lot given the extent of the sites. A snack is served after the visit to the two camps around 12 p.m. (basket with sandwich, pasta salad, apple, chocolate bar, water) Then head to the salt mines. A guide takes us to the bottom of the mines to start the visit (380 steps from memory!) Then we go from room to room through galleries to reach a depth of 130m. Some rooms are magnificent and gigantic. Finally we go back into the open air in the elevator. I do not recommend the visit to people who have problems walking (lots of stairs) but otherwise it is very interesting and very well organized.

Ahmina

The guide at Auschwitz-Birkenau was good and clearly knowledgeable and the guide at the Salt Mine was also good. However the host/driver was less helpful. She did not offer clear instructions or timings and appeared to be abrupt when asked about them. Timings seemed to change without explanation. Her manner has affected the overall scoring.

Good tour, very sad history, but very informative tour guide. A long day but well structured, pick up was on time and even if the driver didn’t spoke any English she was very efficient with google translate and made sure we all understood instructions and how the day will go. Amazing trip that was really informative. Particularly thought the headphones was a great idea and made it so that none of the information being relayed by the guide, got missed. I came away with a greater understanding of the atrocities that happened here - it really does hit home how totally brutal this place was - which made me even more annoyed an upset to see disrespectful people taking selfies on the very tracks that led people to their murderers. The tour itself isn’t to blame for the shocking behaviour of others though.

we got a bolt ride to our meeting spot and they picked us up, it was around 1.30 coach ride (if you get travel sick make sure you take some tablets) our guide when we got there was lovely and very informative. i’d definitely recommend going. in total we were out for about 8 hours so pretty precise time wise. we didn’t opt in for lunch but we ended up being quite hungry however there was a cafe that sold food at the end if you do need to get something. overall 10/10

Extremely heart wrenching experience. Everything we were taught at school does no justice to the actual experience. I came in winter, so it was a little tough when the winds blow over the fields of ice. I don’t know how the prisoners managed to survive Polish winters with only rags on. Damian and Adrianna (our hosts) were fantastic.

Added bonus of the museum beforehand and very interesting, especially hearing from the locals that helped with food and clothes for the prisoners. The self tour around auschwitz was great !!! Birkenau would have been a much better experience if there was about 30 more minutes at the site, as it’s very difficult to get to the gas chambers at the back of the compound and back with comfort. 1 hour is not enough to cover a much larger area than Auschwitz and take in the extermination camp fully.

This day trip was great. The bus was on time and we had a great guide in Auschwitz. This guide also came with us to Birkenau. He really took the time for our group and was able to explain everything perfectly. We were very satisfied.

Veronica

Our transportation guide was timely. However they have a really bad set up for drop off and pick up. Once at the camp there are shuttles between the two museum sites…but our guide wanted us to come back to him and not use the provided shuttles which would separate us from our tour group. It would’ve been a lot easier if he just dropped us off and picked us up from the same parking lot. No reason to make things more complicated than necessary. He also said mix ups with the shuttle bus have happened before. Over all well worth the value but just a confusing system.

Rebecca

This was the perfect choice for an educational day trip. We had a group just under 30 and split into two groups so our final group to follow the guide was less than 15. The headsets were good quality and I was able to hear the guide without any feedback. He was well informed and appropriately sensitive. I think the tour was a good length, especially considering how cold it was outside. My only critique would be that I really wish we could have had a bit more time in the hall people’s pictures. That felt a bit rushed for such a heavy space. Overall, a high quality tour for a great price. Yes, you can go here on your own for a bit less than this, but this is exactly the kind of place that you need a tour to really get the full experience.

Laura

The guides don't really give you time to visit, which is a bit of a shame, everything is done very quickly. Feeling like you have to constantly rush... you don't have time to read the information panels. We must move quickly, The guide waits for no one. If I had to do it again, I would do it by myself.

Guide was great and everything was well organised. I really had the feeling of being chased through the camp. Don't stop anywhere or just look at as many people as possible through Auschwitz (1). I understand the routing, but for that reason it leaves little impression. It's simply too busy for that.

The guide has nothing to do with it, nor the driver who had to wait for customers very very late, so we did not have a visit in French and my 15-year-old granddaughter had a lot of trouble understanding the explanations of the guide who spoke too fast. The driver kindly offered us 2 small books in French but overall we are disappointed with this visit.

This bus transfer was the easiest & most economical way to get to Auschwitz-Birkenau from Kraków’s bus station. The bus comes to the first, ground floor & pulled up right on time. Highly recommend this for those who book independent tickets for their visit.

Good idea if you were like me and booked Auschwitz on its own without a tour person and hotel pick up. Easy enough to find the bus station, however we were then more restricted by timings. I’d definitely recommend doing this day as a full tour. We had booked a bus for the way back but ended up paying again for a different time as there was an earlier bus but they didn’t let us use our voucher

Transport was fine - clean and comfortable although driver seemed very impatient when we returned to the coach for the journey home. The tour was quite rushed and we didn’t feel like we had much time to take in the two sites. We were rushed around in the group. We were allowed to go and see the gas chambers as part of the tour but due to the rush that the tour guide was in… we didn’t spend much time here and were quickly ushered through. The guide was very informative but the whole tour did feel very rushed. The tour guide seemed annoyed with the customers when small things would go wrong, such as the radio transmitter not working… which is a small inconvenience but she was quite rude to the people that this happened to. Not much time for toilet breaks/looking around the gift shop. We got back to the bus 3 minutes after the allotted time and the driver seemed annoyed that we were late but we had to queue for the toilet. Tour was OK… you get what you pay for!

Bus could fit 24 people including driver and the tour ""guide"", but we was only 10 people in the bus (1.5h ride) to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Got 15min break, toilets (free) and restaurant with food, snacks, drinks and ice-cream at the entrance, no need to order food from the tour company. They say no bags bigger than a A4-paper, but I had my school backpack and they let us in with it, same with many other tourists that had it. No locking storage for bags there. They splitted us up by language of the tour with other groups of the tour company. The tour in Auschwitz is 1h 50min with a guide (not same person from the bus), I recommend not to walk alone as its not interested without a guide. Then 10min break before a 2min bus ride to Birkenau. 1h 30min tour with the same guide in Birkenau. And then 1.5h ride back to Krakow. We could survive with bank cards through the whole Krakow trip, no cash is needed. Mask is required inside.

The day before the trip, we received a call and they confirmed the pickup time. Our driver Peter arrived on time and took us straight there. Was great to skipped the security queue, there were many school parties that day. Finally the tour was conducted by a fluent English speaker. Happy to recommend.

Very well organized, no extra money to pay on site Excellent driver, very friendly and on time. We were 7 people in the minivan, trip from Krakow was less than 1h30 min. The driver picked us up at our hotel. Since we were a bit in advance, we visited one train rail outside the camp. Then, he left us in front of the first camp to start the visit with a guide. After the first visit, small break to eat and we took again the van to go to the second camp, where we found again the same guide from the first camp. At the end of the visit, back to Krakow.

insanely well organised. I was called + got a message the day before for the exact pick up location and time (we had to walk like 4 minutes). The bus then left on time, our guide picked us up in front of the bus, we visited Auschwitz first, then a short bus drive to Birkenau. 20 minutes after we left back to Auschwitz and around 7.5 hours later we were back home.

Would highly recommend this minivan trip to Auschwitz. We had chosen to be picked up at 11am but were contacted the evening before by our driver to say he would collect us at 8am instead, which wasn't a problem for us. We were collected from our apartment on time, the driver spoke great English and wore a mask. The minivan was modern and clean. We collected another family then set off to Auschwitz. It was a pleasant drive and everyone wore masks. Upon arrival at Auschwitz our driver took us through the entry point where we were handed over to a museum guide. She was fabulous, had lots of knowledge and was very respectful. The pace was ideal for us, we didn't feel rushed. We had a 10min break to eat the lunch we had brought with us then went back to our driver who took us to Auschwitz 2 where the same museum guide was waiting for us. After being shown around here our driver was waiting outside for us and took us back to Krakow.

Hard experience but to do. Well organized. Requested a time, the night before they move it in advance of an hour. They could have been more precise. Everything was on schedule, guide was clear with his instructions and the air conditioning in the bus was greatly appreciated. Tour in the Auschwitz and Birkenau was a bit hasty (especially at the Birkenau camp), but this was most probably due to the hot weather. Our guide on the site was again very informative but there was no interaction between the group and the guide but one could experience the scale and conditions of both of the Auschwitz camps. My recommendation would be that if you have basic or above knowledge of the site try to book one of the more in depth tours or even a private tour for a more interactive and in depth experience. Be very mindful of the weather conditions. During hot weather there is not that much shade and even inside of the buildings temperature can rise to around 40 celsius.

The guides were all very informative and well prepared. They could get through the terrible message of the lager very effectively. We were notified of our pick up time the day before and we were picked up on time. - Comfortable vehicle for journey. - 10 minute comfort break before the tour of the first camp. - Given receiver and headphones to ensure we could hear our guide. - Great guide. - Another 10 minute comfort break before travelling to the second camp. - Tour with the same guide. This trip is a must do when visiting Krakow. There was a lot to take in on the visit and the tour was very respectfully done. We were told to bring a packed lunch but weren't given time to eat it. This was probably for the best as we didn't have much of an appetite after what we had seen.

The coach was so easy and convenient- the pick up point is central and easy to find. The coach gave us plenty of time in each camp and clear instructions on entry and pick up. The journey is around an hour and a half- the hometime traffic around 5 was busy and slow. Some guests were disappointed that there wasnt a guide- there are plenty other tours you can book with this option. This tour allowed us to explore at our own pace, read the information and use the guidebook. As someone who has visited before this was perfect. I would recommend a guided tour for people unfamiliar with the history and stories of auschwitz- it is such a fascinating, haunting and educational place and there is so much to learn of the atrocities.

Had an amazing host who was extremely knowledgeable not only about Auschwitz but also about Krakow and Poland its self. If I could give a higher score I would. The experience and service this company provided was outstanding. From booking online to the collection on the day was flawless. We received regular updates about our booking and always had piece of mind. On the day of our pick up we were a bit worried that we may not have been in the right place. We called the number provided and had a response within seconds to reassure us that we were in the right place and that our driver would be there soon. I have to say as well that the highlight to the whole booking was our pick up driver called Chris. He went through our entire day with us and although our activity was a non-guided tour, he provided all of us with a tour guide (and asked we returned it after) and pointed out all the ""key places"" to visit. He essentially acted as a mini tour guide and helped us with everything, very friendly and could not have been any more helpful. Easiest way to describe would be a LEGEND

A pleasant young driver with an 8 seater van arrived at the designated pick up point on time. The van was clean and air conditioned. There was heavy traffic on the journey to Auschwitz. On arrival the driver gave us a guide book and advice both venues. He advised to go to Birkenau first on the free local buses and then return to Auschwitz to complete our tour. We took his advice and just had enough time to get both venues done before we returned to Krakow. The journey home was much quicker as there was less traffic.I aw

Great tour -- so glad we booked with this company! We went to Birkenau first, then Auschwitz I, staying at both for about 2 hours a piece, which was an appropriate amount of time. The guide provided useful tips for navigating the sites and an extremely valuable printed guidebook, then he let us explore independently -- which was just our speed. The bus was brand new and very comfortable; the guide showed a brief documentary on the drive out to prepare everyone for the visit. Everything was smooth, as expected, and a great value. We would absolutely book with this tour company again. Thanks for a great experience!

Despite the circumstances of the entire Nazi regime and the crimes they committed seen in this tour, then entire trip was an eye opening experience and tour itself did it justice! Definitely recommend this tour to anyone that wishes to have a self guided experience of the camps. Much preferred having our own time to explore the camps than a guided tour as this would have taken far longer and aspects would have been missed. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone that wishes to visit such a horrific place, which is a sobering experience.

Absolutely brilliant trip with the wonderful Michael. We were so lucky to have Michael as a guide and he went above and beyond to make it a memorable trip. He was so respectful and emotive throughout the tour. Would highly recommend it.

The trip was brilliant. We travelled in extremely poor conditions, very heavy snow fall and very icy roads. The driver was fabulous. Very confident, safe and conscious of everything around us. My tour guide was Marta, she was clearly very knowledgeable and genuinely interested in the history she was telling us about. The tour itself was very fast moving and we were able to see quite a lot in a very short time. Wear comfy shoes because there's a LOT of walking and if going in winter, make sure you have your thermals because you're going to need them!

We had booked a tour that would pick us up at the hotel at 11am. The evening before, we received a msg that instead of 11am it was going to be 5.15am. There was no possibility to cancel the trip as this option was mentioned in their conditions. A cancellation from our side with refund was also not possible. So, there was no other option then accepting (or don't go at all). We had to find a night shop to buy some food stuff as we were fare to early for breakfast in the hotel. We were warned that at the premises, no food could be bought. According to the bus driver that picked us up, this was more or less standard procedure. This was a very big annoyance for us. Except for that, the trip was really impressive. We had a very good guide (young polish woman) who spoke English very well and was really involved in everything what happened there

The tour as such was good, own first driver Michael was really good. In our way to Auschwitz we had a problem with the bus and we had to stop, we waited for a new bus to arrive ( we had more or less an hour delay). When we arrived with the new bus, we were first told that we will be divided in two smaller groups which didn’t happen. Then when the first part of the tour in Auschwitz I ended, we were informed that due to the delay we wont be able to visit Birkenau and this was very frustrating and of course not what we expected as we booked the 7:00 tour to be able to visit both camps with day light. In addition our return driver made a mistake and forgot to drop us off at ( /near) our accommodation as we said and we stepped out to the next stop ( which it was not far away but not the correct one).

The tour guide was excellent, his English was extremely good and was very knowledgeable. Especially appreciated his word choice for subject. Transport was slightly late but was not the fault of the driver and was communicated to the group. We didn't see the barrack exhibitions but didn't feel this affected the quality of the tour and we didn't feel we missed anything. Appreciate the subject wasn't sugar-coated for tourists.

Top experience. We are French and did the tour in English, the guide was great. Patient, clear and full of anecdotes, she was captivating and lived what she was telling. 1h30 in the first camp and 1 hour in the second (very easy visit for such a large camp). We had the time we needed to take our photos even if we shouldn't hang around. The organization was top notch, information and clear directions. Boarding the shuttles quickly, good driver. 100% recommended, go for it, the value for money is great.

Very good excursion, to be done, I would say, with a passionate guide like we had. Well organized except at lunchtime when we had less than 10 minutes to eat, we should allow at least 15-20 minutes

Pick up was great. Explanation of what to expect from the day explained well. Auschwitz birkenau was fantastic , museum and camp. Salt mine was just an hour too long. This tour got a bit boring and could have completed much sooner although an amazing mine !

Trip was excellent. Highly recommended! We got picked up at 7am at the kiss&ride parking lane. The bus came on time and the tour guide welcomed us onto the bus where we traveled for around and hour to auschwitz. The tour guide was amazing. Really knowledgable and made the day very straightforward. We then travelled by bus to the salt mine which took around a hour but was a 10/10 experience. A long day full of walking so be prepared and you must take lunch with you as there aren’t many places to get anything. Highly recommend the full tour and guide

Pick up was easy, although our original time did get changed however after seeing the queues at auschwitz this made total sense. Wieliczka was amazing, we enjoy it very much. Marcin was lovely he stayed with us all day, he was a great tour guide. We had a great day out, just be prepared for lots of walking and a very long day x

We had a lovely guide for the whole day tour who handed us off to two great tour guides. Very informative in both places with a few breaks for you to do what you needed (eat, drink or use the toilet). Only thing that was lacking was time to stop and look at things though this was not the fault of anyone it was just because there were so many tours happening you had to move on.

It was an extremely long and hard day yet something everyone should experience to educate themselves. The salt mines were fantastic and beautiful. We had the lunchbox which was provided which was definitely worth it, the sandwiches were really nice. Both guides at auschwitz and the salt mines were excellent; extremely knowledgeable and friendly. A really good experience and would definitely recommend.

Lots to learn and lots to see. Me and my daughters (who are 11 and 13 years!) learnt a lot on our trip. Lots of history which will now help them learn this at school. Only down side is the first part of the trip was been given such a small amount of time to get around. Definitely recommend.

beautiful but if I had seen better that there was no guide as a person I would not have booked, it was difficult to understand where we were or what we were seeing only through the guide book

I enjoyed the visit! I didn't like the change in schedule as we had to rush through the visit due to closing time! I didn't like having selected a giia in Portuguese and they just gave me a book in Portuguese that I could have purchased anywhere! I didn't like that the guide didn't accompany us during the visit, leaving us to our own devices.

Good tour, very sad history, but very informative tour guide. A long day but well structured, pick up was on time and even if the driver didn’t spoke any English she was very efficient with google translate and made sure we all understood instructions and how the day will go. I do recommend the tour.

We would highly recommend this trip — it’s something everyone should do in their lifetime. Visiting Auschwitz and Birkenau was incredibly moving and important, and the salt mine was fascinating. It’s amazing to think that everything inside was carved entirely out of salt. Both of our tour guides were excellent, very knowledgeable, and their English was brilliant. Our driver, Thomas, was also fantastic and made the journey smooth and comfortable. It is a long day with a lot of walking, but it was absolutely worth it and an experience we’re really glad we did.

Our driver Peter was great, hotel pick up and taken to Auschwitz, Auschwitz Birkenau and later the salt mine and returned back to our hotel at the end of the day.The guide at Auschwitz was very knowledgeable and the whole experience was incredibly moving. We also ordered the lunch for 40 PLN which was well worth it. The salt mine was very interesting, but we found it was too much doing both experiences in one day. We walked approximately 9 miles and in the salt mine there were around 700 steps. Even people much younger than us found it too much after all the walking at Auschwitz. The experience was enjoyable and the guide was very good, but I wouldn’t recommend doing both experiences on the same day.

Very thought provoking.. guide was extremely knowledgeable and you certainly learn many things about this tragic time in history.. if in winter dress up warm as you are outside for quite a period of time.

Amazing day! My feet ached from walking but my cheeks ached from laughing after the salt mines what an experience. Auswhitz, despite being so sad. Is a must see. I felt so grounded afterwards. The tour guide, Peter, was sweet. Provided plenty of bathroom breaks for any of my fellow weak bladder people who are worried about that. Only one point I will mention about these breaks is that peter often gave us about 10 minutes which wasn’t enough time (if your a lady) to even get through the bathroom queue but no stress at no time did they make us feel rushed about this!

Great tour. Very well organized and punctual. The guides are provided by the museums and not the tour company itself. They were great. The salt mine was stunningly beautiful in contrast to the atrocities abd horror from Auschwitz- Birkenau. Visited in late Nov and was perfect. Far less crowded; you just need to bundle up as most of the day you are outside.

I thought it was a pity that there was a lot of uncertainty about the starting time we thought and had planned starting time 8.00 am and it was not changed to 10.40 am 24 hours in advance, so we could no longer carry out the planned activities. The viewing was impressive.
