The queue to get into Duomo Cathedral is quite long (even on non-peak times) and could easily take up to an hour waiting in the line. So, it's always advisable to get an online ticket in advance. If you combine with a rooftop ticket (you have the option to climb up the stairs or take the elevator), then you have a much smaller line to stand. The elevator entrance line (which we got) is at the back of the cathedral and we spent just 10 mins in the queue. You can spend time on the rooftop terrace, climb down to the main cathedral and then spend time going through the cathedral and other exhibits like the Archaeological area and Musuem. If you have booked the audio headsets, collect those from near the main entrance and then start your cathedral tour. If you want to go through all the areas included in the ticket, plan for at least a couple of hours

This is an excellent tour allowing us to see this marvelous cathedral, not only the inside but then rooftop as well. We used the lift to go to the rooftop but there was not clear signs to allow us to use the same lift to go down, so we had to use the very narrow stairs, which actually not what we wanted when we paid for the lift. The tour company should do better to give instructions to tourist when they got down ( for those who only pat to use the stairs t I go up and down then this does not apply).

The Milan Duomo is an amazing building, epic and perfect proportions. Well worth a visit. Three stair climb to the roof was ready for all family members. The audio guide was good. However, I was shocked that the plastic headphones are simply thrown away after a single use. It is hard to believe the vast quantities of unnecessary plastic waste that the Duomo is creating each day. Please, Duomo, take a leaf out of the approach of other venues - just use a low volume audio speaker without head phones.

It is absolutely worth making the trip up the (very) many steps to see Milan from the terraces of the Duomo and the close up level of detail in design. We had also paid for the audio-guide which was worthwhile for added context and explanation as to what we were looking at and the history of the place. I would recommend the lift pass to anyone who would struggle with a steep ascent up lots of steps though!

The cathedral is breathtaking! And so are the views! However, the audio guide isn’t the best - the descriptions are amazing but you have to find places yourself in the cathedral and then play the corresponding audio. It can get a bit annoying because the pictures in the audio guide aren’t that clear. Also, the line to go up and down the terrace can get quite long - be prepared to wait!

Entry to the duomo was very easy and straightforward. Our only problem was that it was very busy so, we had to wait in a long line to climb to the top of the cathedral and then once on top we had to wait in a line to climb down. You can definitely spend a few hours at the cathedral and I would recommend the museum on a different day as there is a lot to see there as well.

I’ve visited several churches, cathedrals, etc in my travels and have never seen a structure so massive and ornate. Well worth the visit. Even with the elevator taking you most of the way up, there are additional stairs involved to get to the top, and you’re expected to take the stairs all the way down. Maybe there’s a service elevator somewhere?

The cathedral is absolutely amazing and the view that opens in front of your eyes from the roof surpasses any expectation! We visited it inside then we have to go out and look for the lift in the back side of the Dom. In 10 of november it wasn't too crowded, so we didn't have to wait too long.

With ease, quick and efficient. Love this experience! Go in the morning around 9:30-10am! Otherwise it will be pack and long lines. Duomo is beautiful and a must see. Take the elevator up! Worth it! The stairs are narrow and going down is much easier than climbing up. Recommend!

The view from the Cathedral rooftop was magnificent. I am disabled, but although it was a little hard on me, I did manage to walk all the way up. There is a lift though, in case you can't manage all the stairs. This is not really suitable for wheelchair access.

With your access-to-all-areas ticket to the Duomo, you can see the 600-year-old cathedral and Milan's iconic symbol. Learn about St. Ambrose's history and the cathedral's significant spiritual and cultural role in the city's development.

From the Duomo Terraces, take in the views of the city. Built of Candoglia marble, the Alps and Apennine Mountains can be seen on clear days. Elevator is an option.

Take in the stained glass window, tapestries, and sculptures of the 14th-century Palazzo Reale, as well as the 27 halls of the Duomo. Take a look at the S. Tecla and S. Giovanni alle Fonti Baptistery's archaeological remains.

Improve your understanding of Milan's spiritual and cultural heritage. The Baptistery was forgotten until 1961, when it was demolished in 1387 to make room for the cathedral, which was built by St. Ambrose in the fourth century.
