Grace M.
3 hour tour with a very good guide, Steban. It was a slow paced tour, meaning we did many stops so I didn't feel tired so much from walking .It was very informative and we got a very good idea of the history of Prague .We visited the castle and the two churches (saint Vito and Saint George ).We saw the change of the soldiers guard at 12 which was quite interesting and beautiful .The view was breathtaking .Ended up at the street with little shops, very nice .What I loved most was the Saint George church that had a different feeling than anywhere else.I did not know about Saint Ludmila before ,but she is buried there and i believe you could feel her presence there (or holiness.)

We had Dana as our tour guide and she is a warm person with a lot of knowledge. We felt very taken care of and safe. She was able to tell us a lot and gave us an unforgettable day in Prague. Thanks again Dana!

The boat was fantastic. Good all-round visibility and attentive service on board. During the tour you have a good view of the Old Town and the castle. However, you lie in a lock for a relatively long time, so the sailing time is limited.

A great first day tour of Prague! We got to see many of the ‘must see’ spots and were able to plan the rest of our trip accordingly. Very informative guide though speakers on the bus did not work very well so was hard to hear. Overall, we enjoyed the tour which included a walking tour, boat cruise and bus tour. Perfect way to spend your first day in the city. Good value and highly recommend.

It was a lovely cruise. You will have to figure out the landmarks on your own as the recorded audio guide could not be heard over the engine noise and people talking. We took the last time slot when the buildings were illuminated against the dark sky.

An hour well spent. I'd recommend the tour to everyone. It's a lovely experience and you can get some great photos. there is some information on board but it's hard to hear. you can sit upstairs or downstairs. downstairs has a bar and also sells hot drinks. the hot chocolate was gorgeous. A good activity to do alone or in a group no matter what age

Was really simple and lovely. Boat was clean and tidy and spacious with a top floor or you can stay on the ground floor in the warmth. Top floor is better for nicer photo opportunities and feeling the wind about you. Overhead audio spoken in many languages to tell you about sights we pass.

For anybody looking to see the best that Prague has to offer, the Vltava River has to be experienced. The longest river in the Czech Republic, the Vltava River is home to a variety of cruises.

Sometimes there’s just nothing like taking a relaxing and serene boat cruise to make the most out of any sightseeing trip. Today, we want to provide you with an idea of what cruises on Vlatava River entail and what you can expect.

Types of Cruises on the Vlatava River

A large variety of cruise options are available for you on the Vltava River. This includes a variety of shorter trips that only take up a small part of your day, to full-day excursions that combine boat cruises and guided Prague city sightseeing.

Let’s take a look at some of the cruise options available on the Vlatava River.

Lunch and Dinner Cruises

The Vlatava River is the perfect place to take a lunch or dinner cruise, with plenty being offered. For instance, the Vlatava Riverwalk with lunch on an open-top glass boat makes for the perfect midday adventure, complete with awesome sights and even better food.

If you’d rather see the river and the surrounding area by night, the Crystal Dinner cruise is another fantastic option, one that has you enjoying a three-hour buffet on a modern and stylish boat.

Short Sightseeing Cruises

For those who just want a short sightseeing trip, there are plenty of these options available too, with the 45-minute sightseeing boat trip to Devil’s Channel being one of the most popular.

If 45 minutes isn’t quite enough for you, try the Prague River Boat Cruise and Guided Tour, which lasts for 90 minutes.

Guided tours like these are great for people who want to learn about the history of Prague while getting interesting tidbits of info about all of the sights.

Evening Cruises

For a romantic experience with your partner, an evening cruise is recommended. An evening cruise has you meandering down the Vlatava River while the surrounding area is illuminated by city lights. Evening cruises generally don’t last that long, but they make for the perfect option for a quick trip on the water.

Wooden Raft Cruises

One of the most exciting types of cruises on the Vlatava River is the wooden raft cruise, of which there are a few options to consider.

For instance, the Cesky Krumlov Advent Wooden Raft River Cruise has you taking a quick 30-minute trip on a unique yet modern wooden raft along with guided commentary.

A wooden raft tour is a fantastic option for anyone who enjoys a more rustic approach to sightseeing and boat cruising.

All-Day Cruises and Tours

For those who want to take in as much of Prague as possible, going on an all-day Vlatava River cruise and Prague city tour is the way to go. One great example is the six-hour Castle and Jewish Quarter Tour with Cruise and Lunch. There are also half-day guided bus and walking tours of the city, culminating in a peaceful cruise on the Vlatava River.
