Danube Evening River Cruise Budapest in 2023

The food was good but there's a lot, so go hungry. The biggest mistake I made was forgetting to bring cash to leave a tip for the musicians and staff. I just didn't think to since I'd prepaid for the meal but felt horrible that I didn't have something for them considering how great it was.

If you’re looking to get on probably one of the cheapest boat rides on the river, this is it. It’s very basic and does exactly what you need, which is to get closer pictures of the buildings at night. There were a lot of people and if you don’t line up early, you don’t get the front row seats outside. Check in and boarding was on time and orderly. Champagne was basic. Bathrooms were basic. The boat holds about 250 people in one event, it sounds a lot but when on board it’s really spread out. It has great music, secure cloak room for your belongings and nice toilets. We received a wrist band and our own bar but only spirit and mixer was available. I had booked with the understanding we could also receive cocktails.

It was a 3 hours cruise with food. The food that they served were delicious and very Hungarian. We didn't know the dishes name until we went to a restaurant the next day. Surprisingly even though they were serving the buffet style, it tastes better than the restaurant that we went. The live violin music was quite irritating maybe I didn't like classical music.

We had a great time. The Show was fantastic. The singer has a beautiful voice and George is a fantastic player as his piano partner. The food could be slightly improved on the taste. Wine selection included in the package was good and the service was very good. Our waiters were very kind. I would do it again!

wonderful music and view, food ok, service ok. We paid 30 extra euros to have a table by the window but in the piano Battle room all tables are by the window so we were really upset about this. Also, people who book a 2 courses dinner are served food only after 6 courses people have finished their first two courses, which means you can get really hangry.

Great views and a very nice, chilled atmosphere. Going in November we knew the top deck was going to be cold, but it is freezing!! Make sure to layer up! All other decks were cosy and warm. The staff were super helpful and always kept our glasses topped up. Overall a lovely and very worthwhile cruise!

The cruise was incredible, especially at night. We enjoyed the illuminated sights of Budapest while taking a rest and sipping a drink. All the buildings are great, the parliament is imposing. The staff was nice and helpful. This experience is unforgettable.
