Details

Embark on a day tour of the Rosebank Distillery, The Kelpies, and Callendar House. Enjoy a guided tour of the distillery, a tutored whisky tasting, and a traditional Scottish lunch. Visit the Kelpies, the largest equine sculptures in the world, and Callendar House, a 14th-century mansion.

As you hop on board and take to your seats, enjoy a traditional roll and square sausage with a cup of tea or coffee. First, stop at the Rosebank Distillery for a guided tour and a tutored tasting of Glengoyne 12 year old and Tamdhu 12 year old.

Begin with the stories of Rosebank brought to life in the original distillery building. From there, be taken on a guided tour through the beautiful new still house, where you’ll discover the whisky-making process that makes Rosebank so unique. Nose the character of the new spirit fresh from the still, before visiting the warehouse where precious casks of Rosebank lie. The experience concludes in the tasting rooms where you’ll toast Rosebank’s return with two single malts from their sister distilleries.

Next, head back to the bus and enjoy a trio of Scottish tapas, consisting of a traditional mini steak pie with Stornoway black pudding, mini mac ‘n’ cheese with ham haugh, and mini haggis, neeps, and tatties finished with a whisky sauce. To complement this wee taster of traditional delicious Scottish fayre, enjoy a three-flight whisky selection that is perfectly paired with each dish.

Make your way to the Kelpies, the largest equine sculptures in the world. Standing at 100ft tall and weighing more than 300 tonnes each, the magical Kelpies are a man-made wonder and a feat of engineering. The works of art, created by artist Andy Scott, have become iconic on the landscape after being modeled on real-life icons of times gone by — Clydesdale horses Duke and Baron.

Finally, visit Callendar House which dates from the 14th century. It is set in the nationally-important historic designed landscape of Callendar Park, which also contains a section of the Antonine Wall World Heritage Site. Callendar House was also famous for being a filming location for season two of the popular drama series Outlander.
