Edinburgh Tours & Excursions

This was a fun tour and great if you don’t have much time to fully visit the highlands. I would have liked more time at the viaduct and memorial, and at Glencoe, and less time at the shops/eating areas where there wasn’t much to do other than buy food or souvenirs.

Beautiful! Appreciate David for switching the order of the trip to accommodate for the weather. It gave us a fabulous walk along the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomand.

A great day despite one castle not bejng accessible on the day. Eric was an amazing guide; personable, funny and very knowledgeable about Scottish history. Would recommend the trip to all Outlander fans and also those interested in castles in general. As a note the tea-room in Culross needs a mention. At the end of a cold day this unpretentious little place offered the best cheese scones and coffee we've tasted in the UK by far. Thanks for a grand day!

The tour was informative and the sights were pretty cool. We purchased the extra ticket for the boat ride at Lochness, but were unable to go because of "windy conditions". Now, I don't know how to get a refund as I wasn't told how to go about requesting it online.

My wife and I had such a wonderful time doing this tour. Well, aside from the obvious reason that the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye is absolutely extraordinary-the views are just gorgeous, our tour guide, Steven made the experience even more memorable. With his stories, jokes, and his playlist, the experience was just memorable. There wasn't just a tour just like his. A little bit of warning though, if you're looking for a quiet tour, Steven is not for you. But if you're into listening to legends, myths, history and just plain fun and loud tour, you have to get him.

Amazing tour! Our guide Ryan was very kind, funny and helpful! He told great stories and played some music on the bus. Made some stops at beautiful photo-spots, got to feed some hairy cows and visit some great places in the highlands. We even tried Whiskey ice cream. A perfect tour for a peek into Scotland’s amazing nature and excited culture!

Loved the tour. Our guide, Paul, was so helpful and made sure everybody enjoyed the tour. I really liked that we learned about Harry Potter world inspirations and also got to learn the history and fun facts about Edinburgh. Would definately recommend this tour and Paul the guide!

Murray the driver was amazing the whole way through the trip. Telling us about all the things we passed as Joking as we went as well. The views are amazing. only thing we would have changed was the waiting around at Loch Ness as we didn't want to do the castle or boat trip and all there is is a shop and cafe. so entertaining yourself for an hour and a half was a bit tricky, but that's not Murrays fault. He was great. it was a lovely day out and worth the money

Chris P was an amazing driver. He knows all about his country and history. His way to speak it is a lot of fun. This guy has a lot of humor. Be aware that the trip is rather long (500 km) but the good thing is you will see a great variation of the highland. Enjoy

It was a fast-paced adventure, diving deep into the culture with our Scottish guide, who made sure we experienced the very best—from fresh meals by the sea to cozy accommodations in the mountains. The roads were long and winding, but the scenery and the legendary stops along the way were truly magical. We had so much fun getting to know our guide through history lessons, snacks, and a great sense of humor. Slàinte!

John was the best tour guide! He is an incredible story teller, has an awesome playlist, excellent sense of humor, and extremely knowledgeable about Scotland. We were laughing within seconds of getting on the bus. It was the best three day trip. John is very helpful and a skilled bus driver too. I wish all my subsequent tours had been with John as well. #hairycoojohn The real king of the north. I loved the kilts. You set the bar high Sir. I’m so glad my first visit to Scotland and the highlands was with the best Scott.

Very good tour in general, spectacular landscapes to take your breath away, but most of the time is spent inside the bus, understandable by the distance between round trip. A trip worth it to get to know the highlands and Loch Ness region. However, there are some points that are worth highlighting so that it can be improved, the "Lunch" that actually shouldn't even have that name, in fact is nothing more than "bread, ham and sauce" besides potato chips, should be informed better in the details, it is not worth taking this option. For the price you pay on the tour, at least they should offer water and they didn't even have that. Another thing that bothered me a lot was not being able to recline the seat, informed by the guide (so as not to disturb the colleague in the back). I've never seen a situation like this, I thought it left something to be desired due to the long journey. In the most worth it for the landscape and the place. And the option with cru

We loved our tour guide Paul!! So outgoing, friendly and competent!!! Because of him we learned a lot about the history of the city, the monuments and the interesting fact about the writing and the Harry Potter spots in the city!!! Appreciate it and higly recommend!!!

This tour was super. A really enjoyable and educational day. Our tour guide Graham was excellent his knowledge of Outlander and also the local area and history was brilliant. A really enjoyable and Covid compliant trip. Great value for money and an overall wonderful experience.

This was a wonderful experience and people who come to visit Scotland should definitely take the hairyCoo three day tour with Brian Smith. You will be totally entertained and feel comfortable by his stories and knowledge about Scotland. He did a wonderful job showing us great spots in the Highlands.

I absolutely loved my trip , Alex the driver/tour guid was great he told us history about the place he was patient he kept us entertained . Extremely helpful - the tour company is lucky to have such a charismatic and helpful employee. I will book another tour with your company and hope Alex is the tour representative again! It’s amazing tour Steve was great, he is funny and also he’s a good driver, he told great stories during the trip and played music a long the way, he’s makes the tour very entertaining and not boaring. The scenery was spectacular even though the weather was cloudy. It’s perfect tour to see Scotland nature

It was amazing, from beginning to end the sights were breathtaking and it almost felt like the weather was on our side because every time we stopped for pictures the sky would clear. Definitely recommend it! The tour guide was also excellent and told us all the story behind what we were seeing. I loved learning a bit more about Scotland’s history

We had a wonderful day touring a lot of the sites where the series Outlander was filmed. The van we were on was very comfortable we felt very safe throughout the day. Our driver Dougie he was very informative and a great source of information about Scotland in general. We would highly recommend to other fans of the series Outlander of those that just want to see part of the Scottish countryside.

Great trip with awesome commentary. Highly recommend if you are new to Scotland and want to see as much as possible. Don’t rely on the places you stop to get food as there are very limited options and some stops there was not enough time to be able to line up, order and eat in the short time frame you were given, in particular the ‘dinner time’ stop.
