Kazinczy Synagogue
The Grand Synagogue of Orthodox Jewry, located in Budapest's former Jewish Ghetto on Kazinczy Street, is a significant Art Nouveau monument in Hungary, opened in 1913. Adorned with stained mosaic windows, it's among Europe's most beautifully illuminated synagogues. Visitors can experience Hungarian Jewish culture through traditional cuisine at the glatt kosher restaurant Hanna Garden nearby. This landmark, designed by the Löffler brothers and completed in 1913, is a blend of traditional and modern styles and serves as the center of the Orthodox community, surrounded by kosher shops and the only mikveh in Budapest.
