This tour is about so much more than food - although there is plenty of that as well. Alex was a top-notch guide for our group of 5. He introduced himself at the meeting point with a fresh, warm pretzel for us each. After strolling through some neighborhoods and finding out facts about who owns and lives in the pre-communism palaces, we went to a small neighborhood cafe where we had sour cherry palinka in an ice cold little cup along with a platter of typical meats, cheeses, spreads and bread. Yum! After this, we hopped on a bus to head to the large market where everything was sold from homegoods, to produce to deli items. We were all eager to buy the little palinka cups and Alex tracked some down for us. He even tracked down some palinka for us. We had a wonderful tour of the market and Alex bought from lovely produce which he prepared for our next stop at Terasa Obor, where we had some of the famous BBQ mici sausage that people will stand in a long line to buy. Not us! With Alex, we march right up to a reserved table. Mici are to die for! After this, we are off to have a tram experience and return near to our starting point. This was a fabulous tour that was very well planned and led. These Americans highly recommend it!

My husband and I didn’t know what to expect from this tour, but just wow. This tour was absolutely amazing. Tereza was the most knowledgeable person I have ever met. She has a genuine love, passion, and deep affection for Prague and its history. She was truly lovely, and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect tour. This experience topped all of our walking tours. Tereza catered to our preferences and was incredibly friendly, making sure we felt comfortable throughout the entire day. She didn’t mind us going in and out of shops and even showed us special hidden places along the way. We mentioned we came for the Christmas markets, and she made sure to show us the most authentic stalls at different markets, sharing the history behind many of the items we saw. We even took a break to enjoy Turkish coffee together, a first for both me and my husband, and had the most wonderful conversation. She was an incredible person, both inside and out, and I am beyond happy with our experience. This tour exceeded all expectations, and I cannot recommend it enough!

A wonderful day from start to finish! Day started off on a minibus which took approximately 30 minutes, with the extremely knowledgeable tour guide of 35 years experience pointing out points of interest along the way. The minibus trip concluded at the castle where we disembarked and were guided around the various sights within the grounds. From here we walked down to the old town stopping for lunch along the way at approximately 1 pm. The 3 course lunch was very good. It is local cuisine but please do not be afraid to try something outside of your comfort zone... you only live once! Be careful though, if offered drinks like beer or coffee by the waiter these are not included in the tour and must be paid seperately. So after lunch we walked down to the square to view the meteorological clock. We headed to the river to meet the boat at 4 pm for the final part of the tour. The boat tour was basically to relax at the end of a busy day and was lovely. All in all the day was a worthwhile experience of the sights of Prague.

Our tour guide was a lovely very knowledgeable young lady(sorry her name I didn’t catch) the day was a long day from 8am until after 9pm but well worth it. Both the castles were interesting I preferred peles castle for the beauty inside. Dracula castle has a lot of steep steps in narrow corridors not an issue for most people but if you have any mobility issues it would be a challenge. There is a cafe at both castles the one at peles gets very busy but if you just step outside the entrance (where the bus drops you off) you will find a few local restaurants where it’s not as busy. We were given time at both castles to get a drink and snack. Braşov was a beautiful little town where you will have approx one hour to have a wonder and get a drink. On the way home we drove through some beautiful countryside in Transylvania we even saw bears. The drive is a long drive home over 3.5 hours you do stop for a comfort break. Please bear in mind that you are high up so take a jacket depending on the time of year.

Fantastic timings on pick up and drop off. They've definitely done this before! In regards to the tour I found the auschwitz side a tad rushed ( however I understand why with the amount of people that were in attendance on the site from other tours ) In regards to the tour given by micheal/walker couldn't of had anyone better. The information and knowledge he had was fantastic a few bits I wasn't aware of. birkenau tour was very well explained given the limited structures that still stand. The sheer size of the place is scary which gives you a truer representation of the scale of evil that was underway. I very much appreciated walkers way of trying to keep the tour as original as possible instead of the reconstructed parts of birkenau. Can't say thank you enough for the tour and in depth emotional experience. Most definitely be booking more on my next visit to Poland. Loved krakow will be back as there plenty more to see the architecture is beautiful.

Our guide, Tereza Polakova, was fantastic. She met us at our hotel, The Carlo IV, which is conveniently located close to all the major attractions within easy walking distance. It was our first day/time in Prague and she assisted us in changing dollars for ck, she went slowly at our pace (my husband is 73 and can't walk fast), she stopped at each major attraction to provide historic information and answer questions we had, she even timed our walk to coincide with the noontime show at the Astronomical Clock! Her English was excellent and she was clever in avoiding the tourist crowds. She knew the best vantage points for each attraction so our views were unencumbered by the many tourist visiting this time of year. She provided us a great orientation to Prague so we were entirely comfortable walking and touring on our own the remainder of our visit.

"We did the small group sunset tour with Alex and Francisco, and it was absolutely fantastic! They made a great team—welcoming, knowledgeable, and super attentive. The boat was very comfortable, and they even had blankets on board in case it got chilly during the sunset. Cruising along the Tagus River, we were treated to stunning views of Lisbon from the water. The two-hour tour was the perfect length, and along the way, Alex and Francisco shared fascinating insights about the city's landmark monuments and even gave us some great local restaurant recommendations. We brought our kids along, and they were wonderful with them—very friendly, engaging, and patient. We wrapped up the tour with soft drinks and some delicious Vinho Verde. It was a beautiful, relaxing, and memorable experience. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon!"

I booked this trip a month in advance. 3 adults. One 11 yr old one 13yrs. I received a WhatsApp the day before with a pick up time of 7am and dropped pin of where to be. (2 mins from the hotel) Bartek our driver was superb with information and instructions of where to meet our tour guides and pick up return points. Auschwitz- bag search and scanners. Quick and painless. Headsets and headphones provided. Lots of slow walking and steps inside buildings. Birkenau is a large site. Exposed. For both Auschwitz & Birkenau wear comfy shoes, pack an umbrella if it’s forecast to rain. We were offered pack lunch for a small price but we took our own snacks and grabbed drinks. Salt Mines lots of steps down but exciting for kids. Inside lakes. Little light shoes and caves. Snack stops and souvenir shops dotted around inside.

What a day! Vali was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. His passion for the wellbeing of the bears at the sanctuary is apparent and we had a brilliant time there. The sanctuary is huge and the work they do there is much needed. Despite some of the bears still bearing mental scars from their previous lives, it is wonderful to see the environment they now enjoy and the care they receive. It was heartbreaking to hear their stories, yet heartwarming to see them being so free. Bran castle was stunning and vali's knowledge made the whole experience all the better. As part of the fort we visited was closed, Vali was kind enough to show us the nearby ski resort. We ended the day at the distillery, where we tried lots of Palinka, enjoying it so much, we bought a bottle to take back.

Our guide, Martin, was truly exceptional. The service was great from start to finish. Martin is highly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating history and insights everywhere we went. Crucially, he made the entire trip fun and engaging. Everything was perfectly organized and efficient, ensuring we saw so many cool things across Scotland without ever feeling rushed. It was a seamless, joyful adventure. We would absolutely do this trip all over again, especially if Martin was our guide! Highly, highly recommend E2G Tours and the fantastic Martin.

Our driver Peter was great, hotel pick up and taken to Auschwitz, Auschwitz Birkenau and later the salt mine and returned back to our hotel at the end of the day.The guide at Auschwitz was very knowledgeable and the whole experience was incredibly moving. We also ordered the lunch for 40 PLN which was well worth it. The salt mine was very interesting, but we found it was too much doing both experiences in one day. We walked approximately 9 miles and in the salt mine there were around 700 steps. Even people much younger than us found it too much after all the walking at Auschwitz. The experience was enjoyable and the guide was very good, but I wouldn’t recommend doing both experiences on the same day.

Our experience with Via in Prague was nothing short of phenomenal. From start to finish, we were completely engaged and captivated by the stories and historical insights she shared. Via's deep knowledge of Prague's history, culture, and hidden gems was truly impressive and added immense value to our visit. Throughout the tour, her passion and enthusiasm were evident, making the experience both educational and entertaining for our whole family. We appreciated the personalized touches and the way she tailored the tour to keep everyone interested and involved. Whether you're a history buff or just someone looking to explore the beauty of Prague, this tour is an absolute must. Highly recommended!

Our guide, Veronika, was so knowledgeable. She was pleasant as well. She met us on time in our hotel, guided us on public transportation & took us through the Prague Castle. As we passed main points in the city, she identified them & explained their significance. We learned so much & wished we could have had her as our guide every day. Before we said “good-bye” Veronica identified places on a map that we could walk to on our own. The map was from the company & better than any other map given to us. We plan to see other recommended places in the city & to eat at recommended restaurants. It was perfect to have booked the tour for the beginning of our stay in Prague!

We had such a great day out with our guide Vlad He was very knowledgeable attentive and patient with our endless questions. Bran Castle was awesome especially in the snow and the bear sanctuary is a wonderful place. The stories of the bear's rescues were very moving and the staff are so dedicated. Rasnov Fortress is fascinating and there is a great viewing point high up where the fortress sits. The ride up is fun in a cart pulled up by a large tractor. The Palinca distillery was fun and we got very generous tastings from the distiller who was very warm and friendly. We had such a great day out and that is down to our guide Vlad Thank you for these memories Vlad

Such a great spot for a night of laughs! The venue is right in the town center so really easy to get to. The atmosphere was really chilled, and you could tell everyone—both the audience and the comedians—was having a blast. The MC was great, keeping the energy up and making sure everyone was engaged and having a great laugh. The lineup was varied, so there was something for everyone, from sharp one-liners to hilarious storytelling. Cocktails were really good and surprisingly well-priced for a comedy club (definitely recommend trying one!). The space itself has a cool, laid-back vibe—perfect for a fun night out with friends. Will absolutely be back!

This is truly a hidden gem..it is situated in a courtyard off the main drag to Charles Bridge..it is owned by Czechs who have a real love of their country and culture. Food is a set menu but it is just right for lunch, we learnt a lot about local tastes and beverages as the menu gave us an insight as to the history of what we were tasting and drinking (All Czech) not just what it consists of . Violin soloist performed, you couldn’t help appreciate the skill involved as the venue is cosy. Great for people new to classical music who would like to sample this genre without having to sit in a church or hall for 3 hours Love the glass ceiling …

Great tour today by Daniel. So effortless and fun to view the sights riding on the tuk tuk while getting a nice narrative about the historical and architectural highlights of the area. Daniel was very enthusiastic and proud of his city. He was very easy to hear and welcomed our questions. We were able to stop, look around and take photos at several locations including the Castle district in Buda and the Jewish district. He suggested popular Hungarian foods and beverages for us to try during our stay and interesting bars and restaurants to visit. The morning was a bit cool and he had blankets on hand for us to use. Highly recommended tour!

"Our private guide responded to all of our questions in detail. She pointed out things related to our questions and to the interests we expressed as we toured the Prague Castle complex. She is extremely knowledgeable about Prague Castle, the Czech rulers, and the history of the whole Czech Republic. We sat in St. George's Basilica for 20 minutes listening to her share the Czech history and the roles the Castle, St Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, and the Basilica served in the history of her country. We highly recommend this Viator tour through Lucytours. It was a memorable, educational and very personal tour."

Wow! Truly an incredible tour. We hit all of the main points (within walkable distance) and learned so much about Budapest’s rich history. He also provided some local recommendations for tourists when trying to navigate such a large city (food stops, public transit, etc) and was happy to field any questions we had along the way. This was one of the best walking tours I’ve been on. I would be fortunate to have a guide like him on any tour I do in any city. This is certainly a walk-heavy tour (probably covering 3-4km) so keep that in mind when booking. We also had to take stairs a few times throughout the experience.

"A great guide in Maria, who had so much information to share, started with a bus tour with constant narrative on the history of Prague, its buildings and architecture. The tour of the castle was ok and we got to witness the changing of the guard. The walking tour was long but very interesting and the lunch provided was amazing, fantastic chicken. The ending with a leisurely, slow one-hour boat trip (no commentary) was a great way to relax and unwind with a glass of wine after a long and tiring day. Excellent day out and would highly recommend this tour and was great value for money. "

Alena Dušková was our guide and was absolutely excellent! She expertly guided us and explained the significance of sites we had on our list to see, while also sharing with us hidden gems that made for a very rich experience. The highlight was a visit INSIDE the astrological clock after she recognized the clockmaster arriving to check on the clock mechanism. She asked, and we were able to see the inside of this amazing machine. The experience of a lifetime! We will certainly recommend your company, and Alena in particular, to anyone who is traveling to Prague. Just an amazing day!

"Concert and musicality was fabulous. Venue was lovely. Musicians were superb. Cons: difficult to find. Victor suggested dress code as formal in their “Additional Information” section, which we did. All others attendees, except for us, were in sneakers, jeans, tee shirts, etc.. if that is the norm, my suggestion is to change your “Additional Information”. If formal attire is indeed required, you may want to stress it more. Since we were uncomfortable walking around mid-day in formal attire but trying to comply with your suggested guidelines, this disappointed us. "

Amazing day! My feet ached from walking but my cheeks ached from laughing after the salt mines what an experience. Auswhitz, despite being so sad. Is a must see. I felt so grounded afterwards. The tour guide, Peter, was sweet. Provided plenty of bathroom breaks for any of my fellow weak bladder people who are worried about that. Only one point I will mention about these breaks is that peter often gave us about 10 minutes which wasn’t enough time (if your a lady) to even get through the bathroom queue but no stress at no time did they make us feel rushed about this!

"The activity was a lot of fun and at the same time informative. The marine biologist as well as our skipper were both extremely well informed and friendly. We were lucky and got to see porpoises, common dolphins as well as bottle nosed dolphins and the weather was lovely. Our teenage children wanted to repeat the activity immediately after instead spending time in the city :). This is a must do activity regardless of whether you are travelling alone, with friends or with family. Suitable for young children as well. Thank you for an amazing experience."

We would highly recommend this trip — it’s something everyone should do in their lifetime. Visiting Auschwitz and Birkenau was incredibly moving and important, and the salt mine was fascinating. It’s amazing to think that everything inside was carved entirely out of salt. Both of our tour guides were excellent, very knowledgeable, and their English was brilliant. Our driver, Thomas, was also fantastic and made the journey smooth and comfortable. It is a long day with a lot of walking, but it was absolutely worth it and an experience we’re really glad we did.

Really excellent tour with superb Guide and Driver. The Death Camps should be visited by everyone to really understand what took place and why it’s still affecting us today. Our Guide was superb - giving expert and touching explanations at all stages. It’s a inside/outside tour though and it rained all day, so luckily we packed lightweight jackets. The Salt Mine is a totally different experience being a conventional tourist attraction - albeit over 2 Km deep! The Camps are a must, and the Salt Mine could easily wait for another day if 11 hours is too long.

This was a terrific tour! We ended up booking the private group one (appears to be for 4+ tickets) because we wanted a smaller experience. Alex was our guide, and did a terrific job. We ended up going to places more tailored towards our likes, and he was great at explaining not only the craftmanship of the beer, but some of the trends and current scene as well. We ended up at an amazing biergarten experience that was well-attended for it being a Wednesday night. Only regret is not having booked this tour earlier into our stay in Prague!

Our day started by getting picked up from the hotel by taxi which took us to the meeting point. Our guide was very informative and made a good job. Lake Balaton is indeed HUGE, Hungarians consider this to be their seaside. The view from the Tihany Abbey makes you appreciate the lake even more so. The tour round Herend Porcelain Manufactory is recommended if nothing else but to respect and admire the skills of the craftspersons. We were very lucky with the weather on the day, the peace and tranquillity of the area were soaked in!

Robert picked us up on time from our hotel. He asked our interests and said he could tailor a tour to suit us. In 2 hours we coverred such a lot of the city and had a few photo stops along the way. A few places we would never have looked in ourselves as we were under the assumption we should not enter them. It gave us a real idea of which places we would like to go back and visit ourselves. The 2 hours passed pleasantly by and we were then dropped back to our hotel. A great overview of a new city for us to explore, thanks.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Walking Tour of Bucharest! We were very pleased with this guided walking tour of Bucharest’s highlights. It was a perfect way to get to know the city and its fascinating and tragical history. The guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and gave a great insight into Romania’s complex past and vibrant culture. We learned so much about the architecture, historical landmarks, and everyday life in Bucharest. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city – it’s both informative and enjoyable!

Overall it was a very beautiful experience. Our hosts Vanessa (marine biologist) and Joao (boat captain) were very professional. Vanessa took a lot of effort to explain everything and answer all our questions. She even gave the kids the opportunity to go to the front of the boat for a better view while taking care of their safety. It was very informative and opened up a new perspective for us. Our daughter was simply thrilled with this experience and we hope to be further inspired and do some whale watching next !

Great 1hr experience on this very new and clean boat. Captain Patrick was friendly, courteous and knowledgable. He gave us a great guide of the historical and cultural significance of all of the landmarks and buildings we saw during the tour. This was a pleasant and educational private boat trip. There were beverages and prosecco on board, perfect for this occasion. In conclusion, this trip was a wonderful experience for my family. It will be perfect for any families, couples or friends to experience this.

Daniel was a Wonderful guide - very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and willing to go the “extra mile” (my daughter had read about some Hungarian chocolates she wanted to get and he found the store and took us there after the official tour ended). The chilly weather wasn’t even an issue as Daniel had blankets, warm electric jackets and hot tea all ready for us! We loved our tour, with plenty of stops for sightseeing and photos. Thank you SO much, we would Highly recommend Daniel and this tour!

Hands down one of the best tour guides I've ever had. Serban Riga made every part of the trip worth it, he was full of facts and local stories. Was more than happy to answer any questions and super accommodating and professional even when faced with difficult customers. The driver also deserves a shout out, managed tricky roads and traffic beautifully. Serban also was our personal guide inside the castles and brasov, was a exceptional touch in my opinion. Would book another tour without hesitation.

Bran Castle as as expected beautiful to see lots of history with a dash of cheesy vampire myth thrown in. The bear sanctuary was amazing we saw loads more than expected and and the story's are truly touching some sad but with the hope they provide. Our guild Vlad was informative and engaging through out. we found the distillery was not to our taste but am sure others will enjoy the host was lovely. The Rasnov fortress is not to be missed its not a tourist trap and has amazing views of the area.

This tour was excellent! We were lucky to have an amazing guide, Buma, who was knowledgeable, hospitable, kind, and humorous- she made the day wonderful! The tour states it is not good for those with back problems, but as someone who has had 2 back and neck surgeries who is not the fittest person, it was easily walkable and well tolerated. There is so much packed into this tour, and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to this beautiful city.

The trip was so well organised with no delays or hiccups. Norbert even called us when on his way to say he was a few minutes delayed. It too around 1.5 hours to reach Auschwitz from our pick up point. We had regular breaks for toilet, coffee/tea etc. There is a small cafe there but also seats outside where you can eat your packed lunch. The tour guide was excellent. Lucas was quite passionate and emotional when relaying stories and extremely knowledgeable about what actually happened.

The walking tour was very good. It was my first time in Bucharest and this walking tour did not disappoint. Alex was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable, a good communicator, friendly and accommodating. We had a very good overview of the history, culture, restaurants to visit for Romanian cuisine and political journey of the city of Bucharest. I would recommend this tour if you are visiting the city for the first time and want to see highlights of what Bucharest has to offer.
